Como bien ustedes saben, padezco de adenocarcinoma de próstata y en realidad que es un camino de más de 21 años medio luchando con esta dura enfermedad.

Yo no había publicado más debido a algunas exigencias del propio padecimiento y asistí a consulta el día 15 de este mes de julio en el Instituto de Oncología Doctor Miguel Pérez Carreño en el estado Carabobo y fui muy bien atendido por la doctor Paola Morillo quien es supervisada por el director de oncología urinaria doctor Odoardo Pogioli.

Duré una hora en el consultorio donde mostré buen parte de ex´menes y estudios que me han practicado, entre ellos la biopsia o gamagrama óseo.

A pesar de no estar sano, me dieron muchas esperanzas de vida ya que consideran que los órganos del sistema urinario seguían funcionando a pesar de que tengo instalada una sonda ya que la próstata está de mucho volumen, y me mandaron hacer una prueba llamada RTU que consiste en elimina células malignas de las vías urinarias, y es de un altísimo costo.

Igualmente, me ordenaron un Tomografía con Contraste que supera los 200 dólares.

Son bellas las instalaciones de este hospital donde se atienden pacientes de cáncer del país y es uno de los pocos hospitales que atienden personas con cáncer y ellos brindan consulta, radioterapia y quimioterapia, y ya escribí que no se paga por los servicios .

El 25, después de hacerme la prenombrada tomografía, debo presentar resultados par que ellos determinen si es radioterapia o quimioterpia lo que me aplicarán.

Que Dios bendiga todos, y ojalá que todos los hospitales del país funcionaran de esta manera.
