life is a battleground and for you to win the battles of life’ you don’t have to give room for retreat.
you have to endure pain and summon the nerve to finish what you start because your success will be measured by your willingness to keep on keeping on, though you may be exhausted but winners always endure till the very end.

Leaders have a sense of purpose, leaders know where they are going but for you to get to where your desired destination you have to keep your focus intact.
A man of purpose is a man of focus, dont look back to the pleasures of yesterday but look forward to the victory of tomorrow,

*A captain led a troop of soldiers to the battle ground, they needed to cross the sea before they could get to the enemie’s base so they had to go with a troopship to catch the enemies unawares because they thought if they go with an helicopter it could raise an alarm and spoil the surprise they have for thier enemies.

when they had crossed to the other side the captain ordered that the troopship be burnt, he did this just to create a sense of no retreat for the soldiers because it’s a must win battle, the secret of leadership i believe ’ is discovering a sense of purpose and giving yourself wholly to it.*

the soldiers fought like never before, everyone of them fought like a fierce tiger on fire because they know that the battle is either won or they die trying, that’s a rugged determination.
every bridge to retreat has been burned.

leaders have two important characteristics:
First - they are going somewhere.
Second - they are able to persuade other people to go with them.

Where there’s no struggle there’s no strength, when things go wrong as they sometimes will and you want to smile but you have to sigh, don’t give up though the pace seems slow-you may succeed with another blow, it may be near when it seems so far but you never can tell how close you are, so stick to the fight when you are hardest hit it’s when things seem worst that you mustn’t quit.
