One thing that amazes me about the Japanese is their ability to take any sport and turn it into an entertaining anime. They have the ability to take a sport that isn't that interesting and make it very engaging. Like for example Haikyū! With volleyball or Kuroko no basketball.
Algo que me sorprende de los japoneses es su habilidad para agarrar cualquier deporte y convertirlo en un animé entretenido. Tienen la capacidad de agarrar un deporte que no sea tan interesante y hacerlo muy atractivo. Como por ejemplo Haikyū!! Con el voley o Kuroko no basket.
This time I want to talk about Blue Lock, a series that focuses on soccer. This sport is not at all boring by itself, but I consider that this work manages to give it unique spices and emotions.
En esta oportunidad quiero hablar de Blue Lock una serie que tiene como eje el fútbol. Este deporte para nada es aburrido por sí mismo, pero considero que esta obra logra darle condimentos y emociones únicas.
The protagonist of this story is Isagi Yoichi, a 17-year-old boy who loves soccer and dreams of becoming a professional. It all starts when he loses a school tournament because of a play where he preferred to make a pass instead of scoring a goal. That decision cost him the win and the game. This caused him to be left out of the nationals.
Esta historia tiene como protagonista Isagi Yoichi, un joven de 17 años que ama el fútbol y sueña con volverse profesional. Todo comienza cuando pierde un torneo escolar por una jugada donde prefirió dar un pasé en lugar anotar un gol. Esa decisión le costó el triunfo y el partido. Then arriving home discouraged and desolate, he finds a letter from the Japanese soccer union. An invitation to a training program called Blue Lock. It consisted of searching for the best striker. In the hope that his national team could win a world cup.

The Blue Lock program is made up of 300 good strikers from all over Japan. Participants are exposed to various competitions and challenges to exploit their skills and potential. Those players who are not able to overcome the challenges have to leave the program. What this does is to gradually decrease the number of players.

Aquellos jugadores que no sean capaces de superar los retos, se tienen que ir del programa. Lo que hace es que poco a poco el número vaya disminuyendo.
One thing that fascinates me about this series is how many interesting characters there are. Apart from the protagonist, Isagi, there are several that are very striking and remarkable. I love seeing how so many personalities and so many game modes can coexist perfectly in the same work. The best part is that each character has a particular effect, expression, color or animation when playing. This aspect is excellent, in my opinion.
Algo que me fascina de esta serie es la cantidad de personajes interesantes que hay. Aparte del protagonista, Isagi, hay varios que son muy llamativos y destacables. Me encanta ver como tantas personalidades y tantos modos de juegos pueden convivir perfectamente en la misma obra. Lo mejor es que cada personaje tiene un efecto, expresión, color o animación particular a la hora de jugar. Este aspecto es excelente, en mi opinión.
On the other hand, a big mistake is that it is only about forwards. By rescinding so many positions and concentrating only on one, the series loses a lot of sense. What I mean is that during several stretches they are forced to form teams of 3, 5 or 11 to face other teams. Therefore, some of them will have to take the position of goalkeepers, defenders and midfielders. It is incomprehensible that you are supposedly looking for the best striker and most of the participants do not play in that position.
Por otro lado, un error grande es que solo se trate de delanteros. Al rescindir tantas posiciones y concentrarse solo en una, la serie pierde mucho sentido. A lo que me refiero es que durante varios tramos son obligados a formar equipo de 3, 5 o 11 para enfrentarse a otros equipos. Por ende, algunos van a tener que tomar la posición de porteros, defensores y mediocampistas. Es inentendible que supuestamente busques al mejor delantero y la mayoría de los participantes no jueguen en esa posición.
Isagi is a great protagonist. A young man with a unique talent for sniffing out goals and getting ahead of the play. He would be something like the brains of the team. It was nice for me to see how little by little his game grew and evolved, along with his personality. Putting aside insecurities and fears to gradually become a great striker and footballer in general.
Isagi es un gran protagonista. Un joven con un talento único para oler goles y para adelantarse a las jugadas. Sería algo así como el cerebro del equipo. Fue agradable para mi ver como poco a poco crecía y evolucionada su juego, junto a su personalidad. Dejando de lado inseguridades y miedos para poco a poco convertirse en un gran delantero y futbolista en general.
In conclusion, this series is very good. Obviously, it has its bad things. But overall, it's very worthwhile. And even more so if you're a soccer lover. You'll enjoy it even more.
En conclusión, esta serie es muy buena. Obviamente, tiene sus cosas malas. Pero en general, vale mucho la pena. Y más si eres amante de fútbol. La vas a disfrutar incluso más.

Comfieso que no conocía este anime de fútbol; siempre supe de el capitan Tsubasa , aunque ese anime es bueno, no fue mi favorito porque tenía mucha tragedia o sea drama, jaja, pero como tu dices el futbol no es para nada aburrido.

As a fan of sports anime, I totally agree with you. Japanese authors and animators can indeed make sports extra exciting to watch... I enjoyed Blue Lock! If you're into soccer anime, I recommend you watch Ao Ashi and Giant Killing... They're among the realistic ones.... But if you like fantasy soccer, then Inazuma Eleven would be fun to watch. (It's intended for kids, but I enjoyed it a lot even as an adult)
I recently read a review about Ao Ashi and was quite interested in it. After reading some posts from the community, it made me want to watch several anime. 😅
Undoubtedly the Japanese are professionals in turning sports into entertaining works.

El futbol ya de por si siempre es muy usado para hacer diferentes series y peliculas, y como tal, ser el deporte elite, pero este no se ve mucho en animes, creo que puedo contar facilmente animes famosos solo de futbol. Este se ve increiblemente intersante, y me gusta mucho el dibujo. Muy buen post!
Creo que el futbol no se ve tanto en animes porque en Japón no es tan popular el deporte como en otras partes del mundo. Este está muy bueno, espero que lo veas n.n
