A moment I would love to witness again.

We are still in February and it's been an amazing year so far because I have made lots of beautiful memories within a short time. A lot of things have happened, I do not mean things that I am not expecting though. These are things that I was expecting but I didn't know it would be as beautiful as it happened.

While revisiting the memories, I couldn't help but cry because this thing got me really emotional. It didn't just happen like I mentioned earlier, it happened as a result of the hard work I have invested for some years.

I had a lot planned for the year 2024 and prayed at the beginning of the year for the grace of Almighty Allah to see me throughout the year and he never disappoints.

During my 300 level, I had lots of challenges that made me think of quitting school. My dad was critically ill and all the funds coming into the family were going directly to his treatment. I had a side hustle and everything I could think of was supporting the family with my baking business.

Whenever I sent a little money home, my mom would send it back and tell me to use it for myself. It was challenging to concentrate on my studies knowing fully well what was happening at home, everything was tough but I didn't let it get to my head. I stood my ground and remained focused, and Almighty God never left my side.

Earlier this year, I did my convocation and seeing my dad standing hale and hearty to celebrate with me really made me emotional. It was tears of joy because that day wouldn't have been as beautiful as it was without him there. I love my parents and love them equally, they are my biggest role model and seeing them happy is one of my priorities in life.

After my final exams last year, my dad bought a fat chicken and requested that my mom prepare my favourite meal. He bought me wine as well and prayed for a long time because he also thought that his illness might cause a huge problem for my education but it didn't.

Upon my arrival at the school premises, my parents and family members were on site already looking glamorous. Earlier that day, I was with my friends trying to look the best way I could. You know girl stuff, my makeup had to be intact and I spent a lot of time with it.

Seeing my family turn up for me even from Lagos made my eyes wet and I almost ruined my makeup. My dad started spraying me with money and that alone didn't stop my tears. The happiness my parents felt was priceless and I could feel it.

Although, I always worked hard to become great and want to have a great impact on my family but making my parents proud was one of my goals. I love to see them happy and yes, they are always happy but that day was different.
Seeing them smile and wink at me several times made it clear that their joy was boundless. While the event was ending, I wished it didn't because I wanted them to wear the smile longer and for this reason, I want to witness everything again.

The wish to see them always happy inspires me to keep pushing through challenges and I believe that as long as I make them proud, they will always be happy.

Congratulations🥂
The joy that comes from making our loved ones happy and proud is not talked off enough. I am yet to graduate but I can already imagine my parents face on that day, beaming with smiles from ear to ear.
Truly, the desire to make our parents happy is on its own a motivation.

Watching our parents go through pains is always disheartening. Thank God you concerned @lara-bee, and thank God for Dad too. You must have gotten your fighting spirit from him

It was a challenging situation that almost made me lose concentration and I bless God things didn't go beyond the illness.
