Las Vacaciones de Mami y Jeremías [ESP/ING]

Saludos queridos amigos de Hive y @motherhood, como siempre es un placer para mi contarles mis aventuras como Madre, esta vez de vacaciones laborales y escolares.

Desde la semana antes del feriado suspendieron las clases en el colegio donde estudia Jeremías para poder realizar las actividades festivas correspondientes a las fechas de febrero... Nosotros no participamos de esas actividades y celebraciones así que decidí programar mis vacaciones para las misma fecha en la que Jeremías estaría libre de colegio.

Mis días de vacaciones en realidad eran solo 5, pero al juntarse con el feriado y el fin de semana en total fueron 9 días, en los que pude descansar y arreglar mi casa.

Ya tenía programado arreglar el mesón de la cocina, así que me puse manos a la obra ese mismo fin de semana antes de mis vacaciones. Contraté a un amigo albañil y compré los materiales. Aquí un par de fotos del trabajo.

El polvo que produjo la demolición del mesón fue demasiado, asi que entre el trabajo y la limpieza me tarde 4 días... Quedé exhausta, pero feliz pues ya no corremos el riesgo de que se caiga el concreto dañado. Bueno eso fue misión cumplida.

Las maestras de Jeremías tienen un grupo en whatsapp por donde envían las tareas para la casa, esta vez les enviaron bastantes actividades. Todas las tardes realizamos una o dos tareas y Jeremías estuvo bien dispuesto a hacer las tareas. Aunque ya me dijo que quiere volver al colegio porque extraña jugar con sus compañeros y ver a sus maestras.

Algunos días fueron nublados y de mucha lluvia, aprovechamos de dormir hasta tarde, ver tv y cocinar rico. Claro me preocupaba la promesa que le hice de ir a la playa, así que el viernes a penas vi unos rayos de sol nos fuimos a la playa.

Al principio estuvo rica la playa, pero después se volvió a nublar el cielo e hizo mucho frío, así que regresamos a casa tristes. Y para colmo los dos días siguientes llovió muchísimo.

Por fin el lunes amaneció el cielo super despejado, le preparé a Jere un desayuno abundante y delicioso y nos fuimos para la playa, en la vía le compré unos snacks. La pasamos super rico, jugamos con otros niños que estaban allí en la playa.

Al llegar a la casa preparé una comida deliciosa y la torta marmoleada que ven la imagen.

Y hablando de las comidas estos días libres aproveché de esmerarme por cocinar con calma y mas sabroso, hago una pausa aquí para contarles que desde que nos dio Covid, Jeremías perdió el gusto por la carne y el pollo, dice que no le gusta, que él no come eso, etc. Así que estos días dije: Voy a darle pollo de muchas maneras diferentes a ver si logro que le empiece a gustar otra vez. Y lo logré. Al finalizar cada comida me dijo Mami me gustó la comida, quedó delicioso.

Por supuesto no me pueden faltar las ricas meriendas, las tortas de Cocholate sí, así le dice Jeremías al chocolate, y su abuela Mimi también le trajo pan untado con chocolate.

Otras de las cosas maravillosas que sucedieron estos días fue el nacimiento de dos cabritas, fue super emocionante para Jeremías poder conocerlas y tocarlas. En ese momento le surgieron muchísimas preguntas locas: ¿donde estaban guardadas las chivitas? ¿por qué hay sangre en el piso? ¿Le dolió a la mamá chiva cuando salieron las chivitas? ¿Por donde salieron las chivitas?

Por Dios, ya no sabia que responder, traté de responder lo mas clara y sencillamente posible, Jeremías no preguntó mas así que creo que entendió todo muy bien.

Un par de días después La Gata Niebla se convirtió en mamá, otra vez el montón de preguntas locas. Pero el nacimiento de los gatos no es raro para el pues ya la otra gata que vive aquí en la casa había tenido gatitos, por cierto que este mes ambas gatas estaban preñadas y parieron con dos días de diferencia, cada una tuvo 4 gatos, así que en total con las madres tenemos 10 gatos, esto es la locura.

Resumiendo todo: tenemos 10 gatos, 3 cabras, 1 cerdo y 1 perro. La Granja de contacto jajaja.

Bueno este es un resumen de las cortas vacaciones que tuvimos. Legalmente me corresponden 15 días hábiles de vacaciones, pero en la empresa donde trabajo pude llegar a un acuerdo de como tomaría mis vacaciones, esta semana 5 días y luego en agosto el restante de días vacacionales.

Todavía me queda el día libre de mañana que aprovecharé para organizar la casa y las comidas de la semana. Hasta aquí es mi publicación, muchas gracias por leer y comentar.

We did not participate in those activities and celebrations, so I decided to schedule my vacation for the same dates that Jeremiah would be free from school.

My vacation days were actually only 5, but when combined with the holiday and the weekend it was 9 days in total, in which I could rest and fix up my house.

I had already planned to fix the kitchen counter, so I got to work that same weekend before my vacation. I hired a mason friend and bought the materials. Here are a couple of pictures of the work.

The dust from the demolition was too much, so between the work and the cleaning it took me 4 days... I was exhausted, but happy because we no longer run the risk of the damaged concrete falling down. Well that was mission accomplished.

Jeremiah's teachers have a whatsapp group where they send homework, this time they sent them quite a few activities. Every afternoon we did one or two homework assignments and Jeremiah was very willing to do the homework. Although he already told me that he wants to go back to school because he misses playing with his classmates and seeing his teachers.

Some days were cloudy and rainy, so we slept late, watched TV and cooked delicious meals. Of course I was worried about the promise I made her to go to the beach, so on Friday as soon as I saw a few rays of sunshine we went to the beach.

At first the beach was nice, but then the sky became cloudy again and it was very cold, so we returned home sad. And to top it off the next two days it rained a lot.

Finally on Monday the sky was clear, I made Jere a delicious and abundant breakfast and we went to the beach, where I bought him some snacks. We had a great time, we played with other children who were there on the beach.

When we got home I prepared a delicious meal and the marbled cake that you see in the picture.

And speaking of meals these days off I took the opportunity to take care of cooking calmly and tastier, I pause here to tell you that since Covid gave us, Jeremiah lost the taste for meat and chicken, he says he does not like it, he does not eat that, etc.. So these days I said: I'm going to give him chicken in many different ways to see if I can get him to start liking it again. And I did. At the end of each meal he told me Mommy I liked the food, it was delicious.

Of course I can't miss the tasty snacks, the Cocholate cakes, yes, that's what Jeremiah calls chocolate, and his grandmother Mimi also brought him bread spread with chocolate.

Another wonderful thing that happened these days was the birth of two baby goats, it was super exciting for Jeremias to be able to meet them and touch them. At that moment he had a lot of crazy questions: where were the goats kept? why is there blood on the floor? did it hurt the mother goat when the goats came out? where did the goats come out from?

By God, I didn't know what to answer, I tried to answer as clearly and simply as possible, Jeremias didn't ask any more questions so I think he understood everything very well.

A couple of days later La Gata Niebla became a mom, again a lot of crazy questions. But the birth of the cats is not strange for him because the other cat that lives here in the house had already had kittens, by the way this month both cats were pregnant and gave birth with two days of difference, each one had 4 cats, so in total with the mothers we have 10 cats, this is crazy.

To sum it all up: we have 10 cats, 3 goats, 1 pig and 1 dog. Contact Farm hahaha.

Well this is a summary of the short vacation we had. Legally I am entitled to 15 working days of vacation, but in the company where I work I was able to reach an agreement on how I would take my vacation, this week 5 days and then in August the remaining vacation days.
