Chicken Curry = My homemade recipe πππ

I'm back with a new homemade recipe.
I'll share my cooking recipe of a chicken curry π.
Like I said previously in a post about my homemade recipe of fried chicken, I love chicken the most because of its high protein and its taste. And while fried chicken is dry, we need to eat some curry as well and nowadays chicken curry is a famous dish in my kitchen as we're getting high protein and also good taste and we can eat the curry with rice as well.
I thought I'd share my homemade recipe of this curry and for that, I clicked some pictures of the steps and the ingredients (I'm going to use some ingredients photo and info from previous posts as there are spume similar ingredients that I use in different dishes) with the thought that I might need them for a post if it is good.
Let's see how I cooked the chicken curry at my home.
Ingredients & Steps to follow:
- Chicken
Here I've used a broiler chicken which I chopped into smaller pieces and I cleaned them properly so that there's no blood and wastage in the meat and I've used the chicken legs as well as we like the taste of it (I've seen many peoples don't eat the legs and they just leave it on the market while the market staff sell these to other customers and get extra profit).
- Onion
- Potato
Then I sliced some potatoes, tomatoes and chopped some onions into smaller pieces. I cleaned them properly before I started slicing and chopping them.
- Ginger & Garlic Paste
Then there's Ginger & Garlic Paste that's a must use ingredient for any curries of beef or chicken as this paste reduces the raw scent of the meat.
- Cinnamon
- Cardamom
- Bay Leaf
Someone asked me in the previous post that it was her first time seeing curry with cinnamon and I had to reply her saying "We basically use cinnamon almost in every curry and I guess cinnamon makes the curry tastier. You may try it sometimes to see if it suits your taste." And I think that's true although I never tried to cook any curry without cinnamon. So I used some cinnamon, cardamom and bay leaf a better taste of the curry. The curry would taste better and there'd be a good scent from the curry if I use these ingredients in greater numbers for the curry.
- Turmeric Powder
- Chili Powder
- Cumin Powder
The turmeric powder reduces the raw scent of the meat adding its own scent and it helps the curry getting a good color as well. And the chili powder is being used for the peppery and the more or less peppery we need, we use the chili powder more or less. And I mashed some cumin seeds after frying them and made cumin powder that gives a fantastic scent to the curry which is actually different than any other ingredient can do.
- Oil
And oil which is a must thing to do and I normally use soyabean oil for the curry and I use mustard well rarely although using mustard oil for the curry is healthier than using soyabean oil.
Then I started cooking.
After pouring some oil on the pan, I sautΓ©ed some onions and tomatoes in the hot oil and I added there some Cinnamon, Cardamom and Bay Leaf.
Then I added Ginger Paste, Garlic Paste, Onion Paste, Turmeric Powder, Chili Powder, Cumin Powder all at once and I mixed them thoroughly. When this mixture came to a good condition.
I added the chicken pieces at this point and I mixed them properly with some time. After mincing the meat for around 10 minutes, I added water and I used the lid and left it as it is to get boiled and cooked on its own.
After around 20 minutes, I added some green chili for a nice scent and then I removed the pan from the stove after sometimes.
And the curry was ready to be served.
I served this curry with fried rice and salad.
It was really tasty and I'd say it's a perfect chicken curry.

We don't use the lower part of the chicken leg, but otherwise the dish looks good.
Oh, I almost forgot, it would be great to see you more active on Hive, engaging with others too. Hive is a social platform, engagement is key here.
A lot of peoples here doesn't like the lower part of the chicken leg as well but I believe you guys are missing something great. I personally like this part a lot, I even look for it when I eat outside.
And yes I'll be more active And I'll engage with others as well. I'll start from today, actually I was kind of busy so I couldn't give proper time here but I think can spare some time from now on.
