This is a contest from our community to you, women empowering each other both on the blockchain and in Discord! A place we love and where Hive is alive. If you haven't joined our discord yet, an invite can be found by clicking on the first banner under this post!

We will award 3 HIVE, 300 Ecency Points, and 15 LEO tokens to the best entry. Up to three Second Place winners will receive 2 HIVE, 150 Ecency Points, and 7 LEO tokens each. Third Place Winners will be granted one HIVE, 50 Ecency Points, and a split of the remaining LEO tokens.

On 13-Sep-2022, an Iranian woman (Mahsa Amini) was arrested for wearing her headscarf too loosely, which allowed a little of her hair to be visible. Witnesses attest that she was severely beaten while in police custody. At one point, she collapsed, but it was two hours later before police transported her to a hospital where it was noted that she had lapsed into a coma. The police claim she had a heart attack, but there were bruises on her body, head, and face. She died three days later, never awaking from her coma. And all this was because she was careless to allow a few strands of hair to show.

1️⃣ What do you think about news of this sort? Do you think you could ever live in such a conservative society? Would you even consider briefly visiting such a country with such laws? How can we assist such women, who cannot afford to flee to a safe place?

Make sure you read over the rules again, and bear in mind the importance of sourcing your images or quotes, and may the greatest imagination win!

Seven suggestions (reminders) to consider:

Guard your passwords carefully, and only publish with the posting key,
Use your active key only for wallet transactions, Keychain, Peaklock, and Hivesigner
The Master Password and the Owner key are only used to reset compromised passwords,
DO NOT lose your passwords; copy and store offline,
Do not publish other people's work, be it photos or written, without credit, and be sure to source all of your work, even if it is your own.
An introduceyourself tag is used only once , and
Do Not open any links in memos or comments that you do not know who they belong to. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, so the old saying goes. There is nothing free here.

I had to picture the situation in my head and it almost brought tears to my eyes. I don't think I can even gather the courage to write on this without breaking down.

I may end up just reading entries. It is too emotional for me.

This was a very important rule when we were fairly new and trying to grow the community. However, I don't think we need this rule any more, and I keep forgetting to ask the others about dropping it. And since I am the judge this week, I hereby declare that you do not have to do it this week!

How good it is to be the boss for a day, in this case the boss hahaha, that elimination is good for this week. The important thing is that we give our opinion and propose solutions. Sin duda será interesante leer las publicaciones, siempre me he preguntado porqué aguantan tanto? Porqué hay un castigo por ello? Porque tan severo? Que rabia que no puedan huir. Un movimiento de miles de mujeres alzandose me imaginobque las matan brutalmente a todas... espero poder participar pero ojalá estas chicas pudieran no estar en peligro más..

Es terrible lo que paso, yo no podría vivir bajo esas leyes, pero entiendo cuando se nace allí no queda otra opción y muchas veces no saben que hay otra vida por allí diferente. Una semana de éxitos @ladiesofhive

It's terrible what happened, I couldn't live under those laws, but I understand when you are born there there is no other option and many times they don't know that there is a different life there. A week of success @ladiesofhive

Oh God, poor woman and like her there are many suffering and enduring any number of punishments that for most of us make no sense whatsoever, however, for many it is their sad reality. I got a lump in my throat.

I believe that they have not understood the Bible or simply use it for the benefit of certain norms. They abuse what the tithe is, which as their word says, is 10% of what you earn, no more. Many use the word of God for their own benefit. A few weeks ago we talked about religion and women, where some pastors do not allow a woman to be a pastor. This is the same case, using the verses of the bible to treat women badly is just the convenience of some.

Yo creo que ellos no han entendido la biblia o simplemente la usan para el beneficio de ciertas normas. Abusan de lo que es el diezmo, que como su palabra lo dice, es el 10 % de lo que ganas, no mas. Muchos utilizan la palabra de Dios para el beneficio propio. Hace algunas semanas hablamos sobre la religion y la mujer, donde algunos pastores no admiten que una mujer sea pastora. Este es el mismo caso, utilizar los versiculos de la biblia para mal tratar a la mujer es solo conveniencia de algunos.

This week's questions have pulled at my feminist heartstrings! I don't understand how it is possible for a woman to be beaten to death, just for letting a little bit of her hair show. This is unheard of and we know it is still going on in some countries. Sometimes I ask myself how can I put up with so much and other times I think that I was privileged to be born in my country, with all the problems that may exist in this country, the good thing is that I have total freedom of how to wear my hair, how to dress my body. I don't know if it is enough, I don't know if I am right or if I am lost in this world, but it is scary that things like this happen.

Thank God the world is seeing all the protests that are taking place in that country, hopefully this will help abolish all those absurd laws that still exist in many countries at this point in life. The world has changed, so the laws must also change. We women are the ideal help of the man who is not his boxing master and his servant.

Actually, I respect the laws of other races especially when it has a connection with their religion. But I can't imagine why a woman has to go through this kind of violence when she didn't mean to do whatever she did. 😥
