My Life in Palette: Until She Spread Her Wings

And then just when she thought that she was carrying the world on her shoulder, she learned how to fly.

Hello everyone!
It's just 18 days to go and we'll be closing the pages of 2022 and turning into another chapter of 2023. How time flies. How did life treat you this year? It was just like yesterday that you thought you can't handle all the heavy loads that have been weighing you down but look at you now, you made it!

Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get, as the famous line in the movie Forrest Gump said. It is full of surprises. Whenever you feel that you are being stuck in this world's bitter taste of life, just continue to have faith, there's more to life than that. This may be a long and winding journey, but if you keep on going, life is being rewarded with a sweet taste of triumph. Like a caterpillar who almost thought that she will spend her whole life crawling, she learned how to fly.

And that is the beautiful mystery of life, my dear.

Now let me again share with you a glimpse of my painting. Unfortunately, I was kinda sad that most of the processes taken in pictures of this painting were deleted (without me deleting them intentionally). What I got here is all that was left which I hope, will still make sense.

The progress...

I painted the flower and the butterfly image. I chose the color purple. I find it perfect for the flower.

I highlighted the details on the butterfly while she is having the best time of her life enjoying the sweet nectar of the flower.

I wanted to explore coloring the background so I mixed pink, purple, and sky blue, and here is the result.

And tadaaa!!! It's again another shoulder bag (tote canvas), which will soon be flying to another shoulder to spread positivity and happiness. Yes, as it has always been my happiness to share this handpainted bag with people dear to me, this will be cordially given as a Christmas present to a friend.

Life may never be a walk in the park or a smooth sail in the ocean. There will always be storms. But it is from the toughest circumstances that the beauty within us is forged.

Painting it with high hopes that it will somehow remind everyone that we should learn to love the "caterpillar" within us while life seems to turn its back on us. Keep on crawling and trust the process until that self-love will eventually unfold into something beautiful and fly.
