Hello everyone!

One thing I love about going home is seeing the refreshing view of green vegetables growing in our backyard, courtesy of course of my Mama's passion for planting with the help of her amazing green thumb.

So what else could be the more perfect recipe for some fresh crabs (that you bought in the neighborhood which I posted here) than cooking it together with the freshly picked vegetables that are available at the comfort of your little garden at home? Aside from saving money by buying them in the market, you are also sure that they're pesticides free.

So before I'll share with you how this delicious meal was prepared and cooked, let me take first a quick tour of Mama's mini garden and see what vegetables she has grown recently.

And so we have here cigarillas (winged beans) that have already crawled into the wall. With just one look, we can tell that are already grown enough perfectly to be harvested.

As I proceeded to another spot nearby, I found these batong/sitaw (string beans) crawling in the bamboo that Mama put for them and have also grown enough to be picked.

And we also have this kalamansi (lime) so I thought its juice would also be perfect to be sprinkled on the crab that we will be cooking.

After harvesting, it's time to prepare the crab. First, we have to wash them and cut them into two pieces for the flavor of the different spices to be easily absorbed.

And then I washed and cut the vegetables into pieces.

Of course, to elevate the flavor of the dish into a different horizon, we needed these spices (onion, garlic, and spring onion) we also have to include them and have them prepared by chopping them into pieces.

And then, first, I stir-fry the spices.

When already golden brown, it was time to put the crabs.

When the crabs have already turned their color into orange, indicating that they're already cooked, it's time to add the vegetables that we have picked.

Added the salt, pepper, and oyster sauce that's it. As simple as that, a delicious crab dish was ready to be served at the dining table.

It's also perfect to dip into a soy sauce with kalamansi.

And what else could be a better way to enjoy this delicious deal than to have it shared with your family over a happy conversation at the dining table, right? Mama's smile was also telling me that my cooking skill has already improved over the past few years. Lol.

So without further ado, tara mangaon ta!

I never tried crab with oyster sauce before. With that being said, I am going to try this one out.
