Art Bar Visit: A Paradise for my Artsy-Soul π¨
Hello everyone!
I hope this #MarketFriday post finds you well as we end another week.
It's again the weekend and giving us another realization of just how fast the days are slipping through our fingers so quickly, right? And just like how these days are running so fast, so were my acrylic paints. I have been painting a lot lately that I did not notice that my white paint can was almost empty. Without white paint, I won't be able to play with the different shades of color so I won't allow running out of white.
Art materials bought in art stores are dang expensive that's why I don't usually run into these places to buy my art stuff. I buy acrylic paints in regular hardware found in the neighborhood, and my canvas boards are customized and hand-made by my Kuya (older brother), which saves me a lot of money.
But why am I here in Art Bar?! It so happened that I was strolling in BGC the other week and I happened to pass this store.
So how could I resist the leaping enthusiasm and excitement within me in dropping by inside?!
Well, I am not sure if you will agree with me but for artists, art enthusiasts, art aficionados, aesthetes fella, and all that stuff --- this place is a paradise. It feeds our artsy souls with colorful happiness and satisfies our hunger for more art.
And so to feed my cravings for art, my feet stepped automatically inside. I went inside without any plan of buying some art materials. I just wanted to have a quick tour inside. I was welcomed with the aromatic smell of coffee because they had a coffee corner with pastries inside for their customers wanting to have a relaxing art-store visit. Not just that they feed your hunger for art, but also your empty stomach.
It's a two-story shop. On the first floor, different markers and colors were displayed.
And then I continued my colorful excursion when I went to the 2nd floor of the shop. I was overwhelmed by the different art materials being displayed. Just by starting with that colorful stuff, my heart was already full.
There were varieties of acrylic and oil paints.
There were paintbrushes in different shapes and sizes.
There were also palette knives.
And different shapes and sizes of canvas boards.
This variety of canvas was so pleasing to my eyes, but unfortunately not to my pocket, LoL.
They also sell here are books, for someone who is both an artist and bookworm wrapped in one.
And easels, which in 4 years of engaging myself back into arts (after letting it idly fall in deep slumber for 15 looooooong years inside me) since I started loving with painting more, I still don't have. Sigh!
I was glad that one brand of acrylic paint and a small paintbrush was quite within my budget so I bought some. I bought one white acrylic paint (75 ml) for 64 PHP and the brush for 43 PHP which only cost me a total of 107 PHP (1.83 USD). There was another brand of acrylic paint that was for sale for only 27 PHP but unfortunately, there was no white available.
And yes, my initial plan of not buying anything from this shop did not materialize. But I was happy - indeed retail therapy for me.
That was just a quick trip inside the Art Bar as my participation for this week's #MarketFriday story to share some artistic and colorful vibes for this weekend. Thank you, everyone, and thank you @dswigle. Great day and weekend ahead. βΊοΈ

Hello! Hello! Market Friday is running so late this week, I was under the weather a bit and I will be out of town for about ten days. I apologize for the delay in answering and I hope you know how much I appreciate the great participation. I will be busy while I am gone, so I put #MarketFriday on Vacation for this week and next. You are welcome to participate, a lot of people do, but, I might not be able to comment all as my time is not my own for this time. I will probably upvote all when I get the time, but, I wanted to be fair and let you know.
I try to let people know how much I appreciate their participation in #MarketFriday! Even though I get many on a weekly basis, each one is read and enjoyed. Last week, I learned about a traditional wedding ceremony that follows Jewish laws and traditions. Interestingly enough, it was not in the post but in the comments between us discussing the post. Interaction. It was written by @tali72 who is a transplant to Israel. I enjoy learning about the world and how it is to live in your corner of it, and if there are solutions to making it better in any way. I find it interesting to compare, not by the world's standards, but, by how we find the quality of our life with different indicators than the world does. It is not always about the wealth in money, sometimes money means very little when there is no value behind it. You cannot buy health although you can take care of what you have. Being educated isn't always about schooling, but acquiring knowledge and using it for the better good and happiness of the society you are living in. It is with great pleasure that I read through this and all of the posts, with these thoughts in mind.
Don't miss the small things in your life, they usually make no noise but can be indicators of bigger things. I enjoy learning more about you and hope you feel the same, that is why I find it important to take the time to read a couple of #MarketFriday posts and leave a genuine comment. It is important for a community to do this, learning about others, and getting to know each other. The fun is in getting to know people and making a positive contribution to community life. All this fun and money too. What is not to love? That is one of the reasons I joined Hive. How about you? :) I leave you with the guidelines. I hope you are having an amazing week!
Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Hello there @dswigle, you might probably be enjoying your vacation right now, please know that I appreciate it so much that despite your busy schedule, you still find to give me a piece of your precious time by dropping by post. I enjoy participating in your amazing #MarketFriday community, aside from that I can get to have a glimpse of what is there on the other corner of the world's amazing market culture, I can also get to share with you, and the rest of the world mine. π
Yeah, appreciate the little things, they're the ones that make life BIG.
Enjoy your vacation dear @dswigle with your loved ones and God bless you always!β€
