Local Thai food from the northern of Thailand : Sour soup with flowering white cabbage and pork ribs (Cho Phak Kad).

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. In this post, I want to share simple food with everyone. This dish is another local Thai food of northern Thailand. This dish is Sour soup with flowering white cabbage and pork ribs. Northern Thai people call it Cho Phak Kad. It's an easy food to make and popular food, especially in northern Thailand.

Ingredients of Sour soup with flowering white cabbage and pork ribs (Cho Phak Kad).

  1. flowering white cabbage
  2. pork ribs
  3. shrimp paste
  4. tamarind sauce
  5. pork flavour seasoning cube
  6. water

First, Cut the flowering white cabbage and put it in a container.

Put a pot on the stove. Add water in the pot, then add shrimp paste and pork flavour seasoning cube to the pot and stir shrimp paste, pork flavour seasoning cube and water together. Boil until the water boils. When the water is boiling, then add the pork ribs in the pot.

Boil until the pork ribs are cooked, then add the cut flowering white cabbage to the pot.

Then season the sour taste with tamarind sauce.

Boil until the flowering white cabbage are cooked, boil for a while and turn off the stove.

Done, Sour soup with flowering white cabbage and pork ribs (Cho Phak Kad). 😋
