Ishioma in project "Casuals".

At the beginning of the year, I decided that I was going to be more open to personal projects. And speaking of personal projects, I'm sort of engaging in one right now.
It's not a major project, and as such doesn't require any finance. I'm currently scouting and photographing people for free. The project is titled "Casuals", and the idea is to photograph people in the most simplest way possible.

Lately, I started to see the beauty in casual photographs; rid of "flamboyance" other than a person's personality, in simple everyday clothes.

What I aim to achieve from this project isn't just beautiful photos. I'm also trying to introduce a new mentality towards photography and photographs. I tell people that taking photographs aren't only for special occasions with special outfits. I think one of the intents for the invention of photography was to preserve memories, however they came.

Ishioma was the first character for my project. In between my very tight and busy schedules, I was able to photograph her, and the reactions I got were amazing.

Photographing Ishioma was very easy. She delivered great poses, and I wasn't convinced that she wasn't a professional model. Her expressions were that of a natural model.

Here's Ishioma;

The photos from the session are great in monochrome as they are in colors, you've seen the monochrome variants. I hope you enjoy the colored ones as did that one.
