I did all this using Ibispaint X, a Samsung Galaxy S8+ tablet and a digital pen.

This is my first time drawing a sea monster or a dragon, so don't mind if the mouth looks weird.

I've also never included the sketch outlines in my final drawing.

I'm really happy with my Sea Monster.

Let Me Walk You Through The Process..

I first draw the "spine" or body of the monster..

I later make the body a bit transparent so that it wouldn't destract me when I draw the mouth..

The teeth were quite a challenge since I had to make them look like they were teeth by fiddling with the mesh tool for 20mins.

Hiding the teeth so they wouldn't be a distraction and giving Sea Monster it's eyes..

Making the body visible again and seeing what needs to be erased, perfected, and added..

Painting the dark blue parts were kind of confusing, I had to be switching the sketch layer on and off, atleast I managed to color that part..

I hid the main blue base color and and started working on the teeth..

All the base colors blending nicely without the sketch..

Started painting the sea as the background..

Added as much shading as I could 'till it ended up like this..

Result..

The purple tongue wasn't a good fit, so I made it red..
