Sharing some information about my little carnivorous plant, hi Hive Gardens
A great Monday to all, I am a little new to creating content on hive.blog as I used to use the HIVE ecosystem and token only for investment in games powered by the Hive Blockchain network, I like to in some time of my day to dedicate to take care of my small pots with some small size plants as I raise them in my house and not in a beautiful garden, in the future maybe I hope.
I would like to share with the other gardening enthusiasts my last acquired plant, the Dionae Muscipula, it is a carnivorous plant of 5cm simpler to find, I already had the desire to acquire a carnivorous plant after visiting a friend and he showed me how exotic and interesting it was to have, the fact is that I honestly thought it was more active compared to what I had seen in drawings and the like, the famous carnivorous plant that devours everything, but it is not quite like that it is quite calm, I can even put my finger in its mouth.
The care with it does not need to be so exaggerated as it was explained to me by the seller after I bought it, he said no water from my tap because it could cause negative effects on the plant due to the high concentration of chlorine, only rainwater, but after a few weeks I had forgotten to leave a bucket to gather the rainwater and water it and then I gave a good search on forums and articles about this plant and realized that it was okay to water with this type of water sometimes, it could even be filtered if possible.
It is strange because some plants can be watered in any way and I have never been warned about this, perhaps by its nature the carnivorous plant is a little intolerant to chlorine present in the cleaning water and not that you should never hydrate it with this water, however in a forum specialized in this species of plant it was recommended to me that after removing the water from the tap put in a container such as a jar for example of 2L and leave it resting at least 48 hours, this will cause all the chlorine to be evaporated into the air, and since she only needs some of this water this can become a cycle to avoid relying on rainwater.
I can feed her some small insects, I prefer small armadillos and ants for ease of finding plus sometimes I have come across her managing to feed herself with some dark insect, I dare say it was a small mosquito.
The good thing is that I don't have to worry much about the weather with her since she behaves well with everyone in my city, here what happens during the year is the subtropical climate.
I don't know to what extent it will grow further in centimeters, however what I have been assured is that it will not go beyond the small to medium size becoming a sinister thing like in the cartoons, thank goodness.
