How is the Political Atmosphere Shaping Crypto and Investing at Large?

Mitch and I go off the deep end on politics and investing in this clip. We talk about the current administration and how the mentality of society is shifting toward "anti-wealth and anti-rich". We talk about why we dislike a lot of the things happening right now.

We also talk about some of the amazing things happening in the world today. With things like Covid and Gamestop, we saw the rapid adoption of investment practices.

Instead of people just standing off to the sidelines and saying that investing wasn't something they could do, everyone started getting interested in investing.

This is amazing on so many levels....

This is a huge passion of mine. My goal in life is to be an ever-present learner of finance but also to teach finance and get more people involved in the industry. I think finance is super fascinating and I think it is a way of life. It teaches you to be a rational thinker. It teaches you when to be optimistic and when to question yourself.

Being in finance is so exciting and it makes you a better human being... If you approach it right.

  • The current mentality of society is anti-rich
  • It’s the entrepreneurs that create jobs, housing and opportunities to grow and improve your life, but the establishment’s narrative is to demonize entrepreneurship
  • Generation Z has a wild take about taxes and rich people - people think that we should get a monthly check from the government
  • The intricacies of depegging from one’s current generation
  • Conversations and arguments are broken - the logic behind inflation is flawed but people don’t understand it
  • UBI and its role in society and how strong the narrative is getting - can this concept happen in the next 20 years?
  • Automation is taking away jobs from people, but this opens up other positions to contribute to society, people won’t be out of purpose any time soon
  • The labor shortage will not happen soon, it can happen in the mid-future though.
  • Example of how the price vs portion changing and Khal’s part time job at McD’s.
  • Companies will start needing competent people to fill in positions on top of automation, it’s not like automation will take over everything, its just that people will need a higher level of expertise and competence.
  • Unemployment issues will be an issue but not yet.
  • Quiet Quitting example and how weird society is getting.
  • History repeats, people will tire from the bipartisan system and we will see enormous changes, Cat believes it won’t happen in his lifetime though.
  • Can the next president be an influencer and not a politician?

That is what they want so that the masses will continue to suffer. Finance should be the best subject in school so that will learn how to be rich in a right way. Anti rich leaders but they are badly rich. Is time people open eyes to the reality of life

Yes its like that scene from the movies about those woman who sit at desks in a basement doing all the math problems for the NASA Space Program and they find out they are being replaced by a computer that does math. They all decide to study the instruction book about programming it and learn how to program it and rewrite the math problems into a language the machine understands. We will all need to do that one day. We need to ride the wave or be rollover by it.
