LIVE Podcast With Eric & Khal | Testing the Our New Hive-Based Discord Killer App (ThreadCast Mode)
Hey everyone! Eric and I jumped on the podcast today to do a live call and also test the new Threadcast Mode feature. This feature is an absolute GAME CHANGER for LeoFinance.io.
(p.s. the first 30 seconds were us getting the stream up. Feel free to skip about 30 seconds into the video to get past the live setup part)
Threadcast Mode is an autonomous mode that engages on the UI when a Threadcast is detected.
Threadcast Mode has a few unique features:
- It enables real-time refreshing to fetch new Threads every 5 seconds
- It auto-sorts by latest Threads posted
The combination of these 2 features makes the Threadcast container feel like a real-time chat room.
We were literally chatting with you guys in real-time and seeing your comments. It felt like being a streamer on twitch and it also completely replaced our conversation that we'd usually have to accompany the livestream in the Discord server.
Is this a Discord killer? Is this a Twitch chat killer?
It's starting to feel like it. We had over 520 live comments while we were on air. It was super fun and interactive in a way that's never been possible on Hive before.
And the best part? All of our livestream comments are indexed on the Hive blockchain, immutably, forever. Everyone who commented during the Threadcast got some juicy upvotes! Thank you for participating in the newest feature of LeoFinance.io!

Threadcasts just got a whole lot more interesting. That last threadcast almost didn't reach 1500+ replies. Good thing people didn't stop at 1400.
That's great news. This will save us the need to always refresh every minute to get the latest threads. Kudos to the LEO team.
