The amount of Threads per day has doubled since the new UI entered Open Alpha on February 14th.

It's amazing to see all of the new faces and the massive spike in activity from both new and existing Threads users on Hive. Microblogging on Hive has never been possible before and now you can make dozens, hundreds or even thousands of pieces of content on the Hive blockchain seamlessly.

The new UI brings a complete overhaul to the Hive content creation experience. One of the many things I love about this is the increased focus on engagement over long-form content creation.

What is the Value of Content?

Something that has been debated since the genesis block of the Hive blockchain. Everyone always has debated what the value of content is. Should X person receive Y rewards? Why or why not?

Instead, a new approach is being taken on Threads. I have yet to see a single person complain about another person's earnings on Threads. We are all having fun and being an engaged community with each other. That's what matters.

The rewards flow in. And trust me, if you check your notifications page and you're actively creating both Threads and Posts, you will be watching the crypto rain into your account on a daily basis.

Let that be the secondary reason for using the platform. Use it to be active, to have fun, to build digital relationships and to learn about whatever you want to learn about. The experience is what matters, the crypto you earn is going to happen no matter what.

There are a few ways to monitor how many Threads are being posted per day. We've seen a massive increase in the daily Thread Count and that is something that I'm really happy about.

The new UI brings:

  1. Better Thread visibility
  2. A better Thread experience

The improved experience for creating, engaging and sharing Threads has contributed immensely to this growth.

The growth is also because of you - the community - who are rallying around the new tech and the new UI. We've built this thing and have spent a lot of time figuring out the best ways to implement it.

A dream is taking shape in reality.

Our Goal in 2023

Our goal in 2023 is to bring 5,000 Monthly Active Users to threads. Right now, you can see the portal to this new Web3 experience in Alpha form on https://alpha.leofinance.io.

There is still a lot of work left to be done, but what you see is really the bulk of what these new users will see.

They'll come to LeoFinance.io in the near soonvierse and be prompted to sign up or sign in using an existing Web2 connection (or download their own private keys).

We're currently rebuilding and implementing a radically improved version of LeoInfra Onboarding to the new UI. This will enable thousands of accounts to be onboarded on a daily basis.... And it's so freakin easy to use.

The LeoFinance Mission has never been so clear. With Crew3 (our marketing app) in the picture as well, I hope that you all can see the path to 5,000 Monthly Active Users more clearly laid out.

Right now, we're making about 2,000 Threads per day. That's double where we were at just last week. The activity is obvious. Anytime you refresh Threads, you see massive amounts of new content.

As Threads progresses from a technology perspective, Crew3 and the community's involvement with the marketing initiatives will start to bring more users here. Things are going to get exponential... I won't be surprised if we start to see 10,000+ and then 20,000+ threads per day by the end of this year.

I am not concerned about the rewards, but about the quality. Because if people lash out dozens of threads just to increase the numbers (and the rewards), outside users (outside of the Hive bubble) won´t be willing to read them because - let´s face it - the information content is not at the same rate increasing as the number of the threads.
There should be also a meaningful tagging. People often tend to do tag abuseoptimization to increase visibility. The curators should have a look at that too.

That's the thing. Not all #threads need to be high quality. We can have any and all Threads. What needs to happen is good curation and good feed distribution

Policing people is impossible. Ask Twitter how they perform quality control... or Facebook or Instagram or Tik Tok.

The answer is that they don't do quality control. Instead, they have algorithms that try to feed users content that they would want to see and let the "bad" content filter itself out

This is what we're building for Threads. The #hashtag feature is actually quite useful already for bucketing content but like you said, it can still be abused.

Lists is a feature we're about to deploy which will completely fix the issue of "not seeing good stuff" regularly. With Lists, you'll be able to add a few Hive users you like to a list and then filter Threads only by those users

when it comes to threads i dont think ppl will messure quality in terms of format, design, effort, its just how useful it was, its just a few lines unless you actually do a full thread like a page long, I know the UI is not 100% done but in Leo finance I constantly have problems to load the wallet tab and in threads my profile have to refresh several times too, also will it let embed videos from other platforms? , thx for sharing ✌️

An attractive "Promote" feature will be a powerful catalyst for more demand for LEO. There should be an easy way for anyone to get some 15 minutes of fame with a low enough LEO burn. I have been spending more and more LEO to promote my articles. But I have not been able to reach far with it. Getting lucky with a whale vote helps more.
