Chain Chatter | Is the Politic Memecoin Era Over or Just Beginning?

Hey, everyone! On our latest Chain Chatter, we talked with Johnfrom1776, founder of 1776onSOL, about the political memecoins genre and their relevance in the current markets.

In this episode:

  • Politics and memecoins
  • Project vs. project is over; we work together now
  • The crypto conversation with non-crypto people is complex, and memecoins are on another level
  • Narrative and community have become more important for memecoins

Memecoins are about the narrative, the community, and staying relevant. There are memeable aspects of politics that can stay relevant over time, and those coins will continue to succeed and keep coming. However, coins tied to specific events, like elections, will fade.

For the success of a memecoin, John shared with us that a mentality of conviction is needed to build a community that is on the same page, will hold through the building phase, and stays with the project because of the narrative and values behind it, not just for quick cash.

After building a solid foundation, a good market cap, and a big community, getting listed on exchanges can be a good move to reach the next level. However, getting a listing too early can cause more damage than good.

This and more on the political genre of memecoins, check out this amazing Chain Chatter!
