What is the Best Generation to Be an Early Tech Adopter?
In this episode of the podcast, Mitch and I chit chat about technology as a whole. Web3 is changing the way we use platforms and some people are resistant to the change. Others love to be on the cutting edge of what's next.
In the generation I grew up (I'm 25 years old), I feel like I got really lucky.
I feel like I was born in a time when smart phones / crazy tech wasn't out yet. I got my first phone when I was quite young and it was a simple flip phone.
I got to experience "normal technology" right on the cusp of the craze that would become smartphones, laptops and social media.
People born today are experiencing a tech-first world but I got to see the change from tech-last to tech-first. I think that positions me really well to understand both sides of the spectrum.
In This Clip:
- Life before mobile phones
- Stories about Cat’s youth
- Types of phones and the evolution of technology and how society reacted to them
- Smartphones and how they revolutionized mobile phone adoption
- Throwback on how rudimentary communication channels were 20 years ago compared to what we have today
- Khals addiction to trying out all the new technologies and experience them first hand - keeps your brain thinking and adapting
- The conundrum of being too old or too young for current tech - are you happy with the generation you are part of?

It's fun recalling the phones we had back then, my first was the Nokia 3310, then upgraded to a Blackberry, then change to Samsung and now I'm using iPhone LOL; never really stick to the same brand. Tech has changed a lot through that period :)
anyone that is between 25 - 40 saw the drastic change in tech, i remember using dial up and saw the entire mobile phone revolution, we saw the introduction of emojis, its crazy and was a great experience, im starting to resist some trends specially social media maybe because it doesnt amaze me after living all this changes in tech, guess im getting old, thx for sharing ✌️
