"A Day in My Life as a Student Hiver: A Teenager Taking on Adult Responsibilities of Market Shopping Alone"
Greetings to all Hivers here. I'm back again to share my activities as a student Hiver. We dont have class no. and waiting for the school Christmas party this Friday. Last night I had time to go and buy foods to market. My mother told me to buy foods in the market because she is busy working.
As a teenager, I believe that I should learn the major adulthood rules in my life, like buying foods in the market that I didn't do before, and now I am ready to take the responsibility because I am now 14 years old and I think I can do those things, so that also when I get old I know how to handle adult responsibilities.
I think that's the best thing that teens can do instead of keeping on being busy scrolling on their cellphones and doing nothing. Just lying in and doing nothing during no classes is the best time to help our parents, such as doing household and market tasks.
In my early age, since 7 years old, I know already how to do household chores such as cooking rice and cooking fried eggs. When I reach 9 years old, I help my mom sell as a street vendor in the market; we sell detergent soaps and diapers in the market, and I also know how to do online selling.
My supplier told me that I am her youngest reseller of gold jewelry, and she's amazed at my capacity to handle the online selling, from getting the product from the supplier to meeting up with my customers, and I am earning before in jewelry 1 thousand pesos a day when I have customers.
But I stop the online selling because my customers went directly to my supplier because my supplier hires famous vloggers in our city. Then I do not have customers anymore. Back to my market responsibility last night, I wanted to market alone. Before, my mom was always with me to go market, but now I am just alone.
I bought fruits and vegetables because they were very affordable rather than in the supermarket. We used to go to the supermarket a couple of months ago, but because we are thrifting, it's better to buy foods in the market. Instead of spending 3,000 pesos in the supermarket, I buy foods now in the market for 1,000 pesos, and it's good for a 15-day budget before our budget in the supermarket is 3,000 for 15 pesos.
With my 1,000 pesos, I bought rice, vegetables such as eggplant, string beans, broccoli, root crops, eggs, hotdogs, ham, and many more. I am so happy with what I bought, and I'm sure my mom will be so happy. During off school, I am helping my mom and taking care of my younger siblings as well.
Thank you so much for reading my post today, and happy shopping with me in the market. I hope that young people like me always do the adulthood responsibilities to help our parents.
