How Can Addiction Ruin Someone's Life? My Flight Movie Review
Happy Wednesday Hivers!
I had a cousin who was a drug addict. Since he constantly involved himself in trouble, his family considered him one of their biggest problems.
One time, there was an allegation that his mother and sister collaborated to intervene and help him by reporting his drug use to the police, with the intention of getting him the necessary help and rehabilitation. During the apprehension, my cousin was caught in possession of a pack of prohibited drugs, and as a result, he was jailed. I can't recall the exact duration of his sentence.
His addiction has absolutely ruined his life. His family and relatives have slowly distanced themselves from him because of the numerous lies he has told, especially about money.

I remembered him while watching a flight movie when the protagonist said, 'That was it. I was finished, I was done. It was as if I had reached my lifelong limit of lies. I could not tell one more lie. And maybe I'm a sucker because if I had told just one more lie, I could have walked away from all that mess and kept my wings, kept my false sense of pride. And, more importantly, I could have avoided being locked up." It was a very touching story; it's about a pilot who was an alcoholic, and his job was greatly affected because of it. He lost his family, his job, and some of his friends due to his addiction. While watching the movie, I realized that no matter how addicted a person may be for a long time, if they truly desire to change their life for the better, they can definitely make that change. Honestly, there was a boring part in the movie. It is not the kind of movie that can really spark interest. However, if your intention in watching it is to seek life lessons, then you might find them there, as the movie portrays drug and alcohol addiction and how addicts find their way to full recovery. I don't know if my cousin is fully healed from his drug addiction, but what I do know is that his life has improved. He is now a free man and assists his mother at her small business. The family always wants to see you become better. They are always right there, willing to help and guide you. However, if they feel tired of hearing so many lies, they may distance themselves, but that doesn't mean they will stop helping you. They simply need to rest and explore other alternatives to assist you in getting out of the messy life you have chosen. Because what matters to them is your well-being. In the movie 'Flight,' the protagonist's son visited his father despite their strained relationship, before the protagonist was locked up in jail. The son had a desire to understand his father better, and the first question he asked him was, 'Who are you?' And the story ended at that moment. Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Hello friend, I think Denzel is a great actor to generate that kind of feelings of self-improvement and awareness, I have not seen this movie but it sounds interesting.
I agree that he is a great actor. Thanks @jhoanbolivar19 for dropping by.
I loved this movie and Denzel's performance as always is excellent, I have seen it 3 times because I recommend it and I watch it again with whoever I recommended it to.
I liked your publication
The movie is full of life lessons. Thanks @yennysferm71 for dropping by.
Thanks for sharing! It's interesting to see how the characters and stories within the world of films and tv can cause us to reflect and remember the struggles in our own lives and those around us.
That's the reason why I love watching movies, they teach us valuable lessons. Thanks @namiks for dropping by.
I've seen this movie three times. Really liked it, especially the emergency scene, which is slighlty unrealistic, but really well shot. Also, the addiction theme was quite rampant. Interesting review, although it might have been a bit more focused on the film itself!
Yeah, it is indeed rampant. Thanks for this comment.
This will push me to find ways to become better at making book and movie reviews.
Hello friend, the consumption and addiction of any kind of these products can ruin people's lives in a matter of seconds and one does not know the problem it brings. Undoubtedly a very good movie and is loaded with great messages, that will make us reflect, plus the presence of that actor give it a great touch. Not a pleasant experience at all.
Hi friend,
Yes, I agree because they only focus on the feeling of great enjoyment without considering its effects.
addiction can actually enhance a person's life if they know how to utilize it and I think that this is what this film shows. It also shows that bad sides to it though and that is fair enough. The inclusion of John Goodman as the special "coke guy" was a lot of fun as well. Overall, i think this movie was well worth watching.
It is indeed worth watching as the movie shows the possible effects in case one will abuse alcohol or drugs.
