Sadarghat Launch Terminal.

Sadarghat Launch Terminal.

Hello friends hope everyone is doing well. I will discuss before you some of my black and white photos. Those I took yesterday. Yesterday I went for a little walk in the Buriganga river in Dhaka city. In the afternoon first I walked there. After going there, I saw several boats. It is usually seen that people are crossing or using boats to move around the river, but boats are currently used for the most movement here.

Our country is a country of rivers. Since ancient times, the river ports of this country have been built along different types of rivers, one of them is Dhaka city, the capital of Bangladesh, and one of the ancient rivers of Dhaka city is this Buriganga river. Dhaka city is located on this Buriganga river. Buriganga river was once very big, this river is very big with long width, but now this river is in very poor condition.

Although there are some fish in the river, which do not seem to be suitable for eating at present, one of the places in Dhaka city is the launch terminal from where people usually travel to different districts of South Bengal by river.

It is the biggest launch terminal in Bangladesh. Which is named Sadarghat Launch Terminal. This place is called Sadarghat area. There are many domestic and foreign boats and boards here, especially when it is rainy season, these boats are mostly used by sailors, they usually catch fish in the river with these boats. Again there are different types of foreign boards in which usually the people of Dhaka city come and provide food for entertainment.

They ride on these artificial boards and move around the river. They enjoy the beauty of the river. But currently the condition of the river is very bad.

I went to Sadarghat in the afternoon. Due to which I got to see the boats quite well. In fact, many people come here in the afternoon for sightseeing. They board small boats and the boatmen take them around the river in exchange for money.

There are many people who cross some distance with these boats and go to other places. I have not boarded these boats. But I remember riding once as a child. It is very nice to see the boat.

The value of this famous Sadarghat of Bangladesh is highest during Eid. Then people throng this Sadarghat to go to different parts of the country by river. In our country, especially in the southern districts, there is usually no road to go. Due to which people have to travel on the river.

That is why they board the launch here and these launches stop at different ghats in different districts. People are taken to those places in exchange for money. So this was some of my writing and photography. Hope you like it.
