I hope you all are well and that you have also done your posts this week.
Last week it was difficult for me to be here and I really wanted to show you the song I had prepared but it was very difficult to record.
But this week I came really happy to show you this piece that goes totally with this week's theme "Love Hurts".
This piece is originally performed by a brother and sister duo that I really love, Jesse and Joy. This song is the ultimate expression that love hurts, you even see it in the name of the song.
Dueles, is a very beautiful piece musically and has lyrics full of mixed feelings. It tells the story of the before and after of a love breakup and even how symbolically one of the parties leaves their love in freedom.
It tells the story of the relationship as full of light (love light) and then surprisingly when that light turns into shadows, shadows that reflect the pain that an unfinished love leaves behind.
I actually have more good memories than bad memories of this song. When I was in my high school days I had a friend who always sang it with me and that was one of my favorite parts of the day, I was really happy at that time.
That makes me think that even though love hurts there are friendships that put a band-aid on you and help you forget the pain with just a moment. I hope everyone finds that friend that heals the wounds of love.
