Thinking about Hivefest 2023....?

It has been more than a half year ago since Hivefest 2022 was in Amsterdam, and we all had a great meetup up with Hive blockchain lovers from around the world. And what a blast we had! Good talks, good knowledge, good dances, good boating, good jeu de bouling and good food.

But this was already a while back already. And since this neverending winter in Holland has come to its point of ultimate boringness, the mind started to drift off to making some trips here and there. What not better than to think about a Hive trip again, and then the brain instantly went into siked mode already!





The first and most relevant question (apart from that I am instantly already assuming that Hivefest will go through this year) is where Hivefest would take place this year!

Where!

With Amsterdam, Lissabon, Krakow, Bangkok, Amsterdam and a couple of digital ones already have taken place in the past, it is a nice one to think about where we can all meet up for a couple of days again.

I would say Europe would be out of the options because there were so many European editions already. So what are the options to think about?

Things to consider:

• Cost of living. Damn Amsterdam edition was expensive this year! With hotels, food, beers (okay maybe this has something to do with the amounts) and everything...this was not an easy ride. So hitting a country less expensive wouldnt be a bad thing...
• Airport hub. That was the good thing about the previous editions. All of them were very reachable from parts all over the world. Admittingly, Krakow needed some extra flights, but this still was very reachable. Also considering if you need a visit to enter a country...That is something to think about
• We have hit Europe, we have hit Asia. Where will we go next? It wouldn't be a bad thing to hit a new continent again, to reach a new audience
  
  
  

Central America?

Honestly, I would love to hit a bit a central America. Panama is a great and easy reachable hub, which has access to as well the US, as Europa but also South America. I had the oppertunity to visit a couple of years back already and actually I loved hanging out here. A sweet mix of nature, and old and new culture.

But why not have Hivefest in Costa Rica? Not on the expensive side as yet, and also plenty of options for making a nice trip afterwards. Or maybe....even somewhere in Mexico? Oeee, make it a Yucatan version so there are also some beaches to visit?

Or....Let's have a meetup in Lima, Peru and we can have a whole new audience from South America. Why not?


As you can see, there are enough options in this region but hey...This is just my brain thinking about something random. Maybe roeland and co have some whole different and genius idea about what will be coming up this year.





I really hope there will be some cheeky announcements hopefully not in the too long future to get some good airfare deals. And you know...the pre-fun is like half of the fun right?
