Life is just good sometimes…

….Especially when you can spend on an easy Wednesday afternoon hanging out in the city talking about life for a little bit. With all the drama going on in the world and having the feeling that things are potentially going to escalate for all of us it is just a good thing to step back every now and then and have some me-time with people who also are in need of some me-time for alle different types of reasons.

While ‘quiet quitting’ seems to be the trend of the day (for those who aren’t familiar with this, this is a terminology for doing only that what needs to be done without doing anything like overtime or stepping up in something extra) the trend in healthcare currently feels more that everything feels molded in an impossible timeframe with an impossible amount of staff and not really looking at the idea that this will change in the near future. In other words, it wouldn’t be a bad thing to do a bit more of quiet quitting in these positions because this doesn't feel sustainable at all.

But hey it is a rat race and we can’t all leave to place so we look for something how it all works for us. For me this is enjoying waaaay too much food in one of these urban vegan places where everyone lives with their laptop ordering just an oat milk cappuccino, me and my friend ordered like the whole menu because we felt we deserved it. So a tummy ache later and a lot of catching up we decided that life was still good. Even though there is so much going on. Cheers (and a belly ache) to that!

I did something similar, this afternoon. Treated a friend ( who I hadn't really spoken to in over 5 years ) to a lunch, followed by some bitterballen.

We ate, drank and talked for hours, followed by a walk and some more talking. It was worth it, eventhough the food and drinks were way overpriced.

Yeah dude everything is overpriced at the moment, but you know friends and food and walks...It does enhance the experience right!

Goodness. That looks like a nice plate there! How fun to split it with your friend, even if it resulted in a bellyache! Ha!
