I like to think that I primarily inspire others through education. I am a university professor in the Film major, I teach several theoretical subjects. Also outside the university I give photography workshops that almost always end in exhibitions.

I do everything possible so that my classes are not boring, to break a little the classic system of the master class, so I try to get to know my students one by one, and according to their particular interests we work, I recommend movies and in the classroom we discuss about cinema as friends on an outing.

Although I confess that it does not work for 100 percent of the students, in general terms it has gone well for us, I almost always end up being friends with my students, to the point of meeting up outside the university to go to the movies, eat, and even to celebrate. my birthday planned by them.

My greatest satisfaction is hearing them say that for them there is a before and after in cinema after watching my classes, that they understand that universe better and that it has helped them in other subjects at the university. In some way I can see that they feel inspired in the area that I teach them, which is film analysis, which is usually one of the least liked subjects among them since it is not shooting films, which is really what they like to do the most. . However, I also accompany them on filming, correct their scripts and teach them directing assistance.

Something similar happens with photography workshops, since I teach documentary photography, and one of my favorite workshops is self-referential. We end up getting to know each other well, we try and develop the topic or situation that the participants want to work on, sometimes so personal that a group like a brotherhood is created. The dynamic for me is the same as at the university, always being very close, a friend from whom they can learn and from whom they can get some inspiration, because I love this audiovisual world, it fills me to be able to show what I already know and in that process I always end up learning too.
