Hoy les traigo esta reseña sobre una película dramática dirigida por Nora Fingscheidt y escrita por Peter Craig, Hillary Seitz y Courtenay Miles, basada en la miniserie británica de 2009 Unforgiven escrita por Sally Wainwright. Esta pelicula promete muchísimo por el simple hecho de contarnos la historia de la mano de la gran Sandra Bullock. Esta película es protagonizada por Sandra Bullock en el papel de "Ruth Slater", tuvo fecha de estreno en la plataforma de netflix el pasado 10 de Diciembre y tiene una duración de 1h 52m. Este film nos cuenta la historia de una mujer que está en prisión cumpliendo una condena por matar a un policía y quien luego de 20 años, es liberada y esta dispuesta a buscar a su hermana menor, quien debido a su encarcelamiento, fue llevada a un hogar de adopción a los 5 años y desde entonces, nunca más volvió a verla.

La trama de nuestra película es un poco compleja, es de esas películas donde nada es lo que parece y si te despegas o distraes un segundo de la pantalla, pierdes completamente el hilo porque en cada escena aparece algo nuevo y mil preguntas sin resolver. Este drama nos cuenta la historia de "Ruth" una mujer que tras cumplir 20 años de condena es liberada y hace todo lo posible por reivindicar su vida y encontrar a su hermana menor. Sin embargo, en el desarrollo de la película, aparecen muchos conflictos, como la aparición de los hijos del policía a quien "Ruth" asesino y quienes buscan venganza. Asimismo como también nos cuentan cuando difícil es dejar atrás el pasado, puesto que este siempre te perseguirá y aunque intentes de todo para cambiar tu vida, todo lo malo que hayas hecho en el pasado, va a repercutar en tu presente. "Ruth" coincide con personas que están dispuestas a ofrecerles su ayuda para contactar a su hermana, pero la culpa y peso de su pasado, la pondrá en una posición vulnerable al enterarse que han secuestrado a quien pensaban era su hermana, sin embargo, era realmente la hermana adoptiva de su hermana, quien llena de curiosidad por conocer el pasado de su hermana adoptiva y darle sentido a los recuerdos de su infancia, se propone buscar a la mujer que su hermana vagamente recuerda, y en su intento por darles un encuentro, es secuestrada. El final de nuestra película es bastante básico, sin embargo nos revelan un gran secreto que da un giro de 180 grados al personaje de "Ruth", quien al principio veíamos como una asesina y una mujer con problemas de ira, quien rápidamente pasa a ser una hermana mayor amorosa y nos muestra lo que fue capaz de hacer para proteger a su hermanita, en el final tenemos a las autoridades quienes llegan y las rescatan del secuestro, llegan los padres junto con la hermana de "Ruth" para verificar el estado de su hija, y en ese momento la hermana menor de "Ruth" la ve, la reconoce, se acerca a darle un abrazo y ahí termina nuestra película.

Likewise, as they also tell us when it is difficult to leave the past behind, since it will always haunt you and even if you try everything to change your life, everything bad that you have done in the past will have an impact on your present. "Ruth" coincides with people who are willing to offer their help to contact her sister, but the guilt and weight of her past will put her in a vulnerable position when she finds out that they have kidnapped who they thought was her sister, however, it was really the adoptive sister of his sister, who is full of curiosity to know the past of her adoptive sister and make sense of the memories of her childhood, she proposes to look for the woman that her sister vaguely remembers, and in her attempt to give them a meeting , is kidnapped. The end of our film is quite basic, however they reveal a great secret that gives a 180 degree turn to the character of "Ruth", who at first we saw as a murderer and a woman with anger problems, who quickly becomes a loving older sister and shows us what she was able to do to protect her little sister, in the end we have the authorities who arrive and rescue them from the kidnapping, the parents arrive along with the sister of "Ruth" to verify the status of her daughter, and at that moment "Ruth's" younger sister sees her, recognizes her, comes over to give her a hug and that's where our movie ends.

Sin duda esta película la recomiendo, cuenta con un reparto de grandes actores que como era de esperarse se lucen en sus roles. Además, este film nos regala drama y suspenso en todas las escenas, nos mantiene enganchado en todo momento, ya que no es hasta el final que dan explicación a todo, así que en su desarrollo debes estar muy pendiente a cada detalle para no perderte de nada. Me gusto mucho la película, sin embargo, el final pudo ser mejor, a pesar de haber sido emotivo, considero que esta película contaba con las herramientas para darnos un final para terminar llorando y conmovidos, lo cual no fue mi caso, al contrario, quede un poco decepcionada con el final. Pero fuera de eso, es una película que les remiendo ver.
I certainly recommend this film, it has a cast of great actors who, as expected, shine in their roles. In addition, this film gives us drama and suspense in all scenes, it keeps us hooked at all times, since it is not until the end that they explain everything, so in its development you must be very aware of every detail so as not to miss out on any. I really liked the film, however, the ending could be better, despite having been emotional, I consider that this film had the tools to give us an ending to end up crying and moved, which was not my case, on the contrary, I was a little disappointed with the ending. But outside of that, it is a movie that I patch up to see.

No he visto esa pelicula, pero soy fan de Sandra Bullock. Ultimamente no he podido ver muchas peliculas ni series porque he estado ocupado, pero buscaré el tiempo de ver esta peli. Gracias por la reseña.
