My Life In Color on Blue Monday (4/3/23) | HIGHLIGHTING THE COLOR FOR THE DAY

The idea for My Life In Color - Highlighting the Color For the Day evolved from a challenge based on colors assigned to each day. The challenge was the concept of a former Hive member. I understand the Community is still intact on Hive. However, under the circumstances at the time, I decided to create my own version of colors. My version isn't a challenge; just sharing some of my personal photos and/or digital drawing images in my collection.

Today's color is Blue. Sharing all colors of the spectrum that's blue will be a pleasure. My choice of colors are found in my color chart below in which I assigned a different day of the week with a particular color or color blend.

I've read how colors affect an individual's life. People navigate toward certain hues due to perception. In different countries and societies, an array of colors are adapted for specific customs.

According to colorpsychology.org, blue is the most popular color. People across cultures and generations adopt this color in all its tones. As we look at the world around around us, various shades of blue exist in fashion, architecture, art, and nature. Blue is one of the three primary colors. It sits between violet and green on the color chart. ¹

The site also states that the color blue was initially called and described as "wine-dark". Over a thousand years ago, blue was called and defined by different cultures. For example, the color blue was initially called and described as wine-dark instead of blue. Even today, this color continues to evolve with various stunning shades used in clothing, arts, business, and other industries. ¹

We often make comments suck as "that person is blue" or "blue Monday". What we really mean to say is that the person is moody or it will be a day that is or has not gone well.

When it comes to the psychology of a color, blue is associated with calmness and peace. It's considered a non-aggressive color that encourages serenity, orderliness, and tranquility. When we think of blue, our first thoughts are of the oceans and the sky.

When I think of the color ? in my daily life, I'm drawn to the dark shades. Dark blue pairs well with green, black, red, and yellow. A sort of contrast in light versus dark.

In art, I love to create images in dark and light blue. My favorite images to create are pure fractals. Most of my pure fractal images I donate them to the LMAC Community for the members' use in creating their contest entries. The images are also available for other projects they may want to create. Use of my images I and other members donate are required to be used in accordance with the Community guidelines.

Digital Drawings

Apophysis 2.09

Apophysis is a software that produces fractal art by rendering its iterations. The resulting art is some of the most ethereal and beautiful. Every image can be interpreted differently by each individual.

For example, I titled this first pure fractal "Flower In a Half Moon".

This image I titled "Cornstalk in Blue and Gold".

Now this image I also used as the thumbnail I rendered on a black background and titled "Blue Soccer Ball".

Finally, because I love figure skating, I titled this one "Figure 8 In Blue". I rendered it on a transparent background.

Stable Diffusion

When we speak of generative art, other programs I utilize deal with Stable Diffusion. I recently discovered this type of software and have been producing beautiful art mages. Stable Diffusion program utilizes text prompts to guide the software as to the description and assists it in producing the image.

One of the programs I use is StarryAI. For example, with the image below, here is the process I used:

Nvidia Gaugan

Nvidia Gaugan is a generative art program. Utilizing a blank canvas, you're able to draw beautiful landscapes in any form you wish. Elements such as sky, clouds, mountains, hills, water, trees, rivers, rocks, and flowers can be produced with the featured tools. The upgraded version of the software has now included text prompts to be used in producing stable diffusion images.

Bomomo

Bomomo is an online drawing software used to create abstract art. The drawing tools provide a set of specific patterns with varying colors. You can create images in numerous shapes such lines, squares, circles, diagrams, and other patterns. Colors change intermittently.
