Red Picnic on Valentines Day

Back in February, my husband and I decided that we would want to spend quality time with each other during Hearts' Day. It was a mutual understanding that we want to go to a small resort so it won't be that busy, not too crowded, small so that it would be intimate, but it must have a pool so Matti, our little one can also enjoy. Of course, part of the criteria was that it shouldn't be too expensive.
We considered to stay in Anda but we thought it would be nice as well to go far like in Panglao. I was glad I found Red Picnic as it has passes all the considerations I had. But it was a bummer because it was raining when we were on the way to the location.
Matti's already two years old and so he now appreciates the pool and is always excited when we talk about going to the beach or to a pool. Even if it was raining, we still went to the pool and just enjoyed the water. Indeed, the resort is small and there were only a few rooms so there were also fewer guests and the best thing was that during our stay, no one dared to go to the pool with us, not sure if they were shy but it was just me, my husband, and Matti who braved the rain.
Red Picnic has a spacious standard room, they got barkada room as well. Their vibe is similar to Bird of Paradise but simpler as it didn't come with a television, no fridge, they got a working table but the chair wasn't that comfortable, it has a small space outside where guests can smoke or can enjoy the view. The comfort room was also big with toiletries provided.
The pool is located in front of the rooms but there was no view from our end as we were given that one right behind the pool's waterfall wall.
As for the restaurant, they have meals on the expensive side. Breakfast was free though which was good because their meals start at Php 350. But the restaurant's native theme and very intricate bamboo ceiling design was to be appreciated! Their staff were all accommodating and were always happy to serve!
That's it! Thanks for reading!
