Matti's Turning Three

It's this time of the year again when I become emotional. I never dreamed of becoming a mother anymore after my ectopic pregnancy in 2017 but God gave me a little one who didn't just bring joy to my life but a purpose as well.

Motherhood indeed is a 24/7 kind of job but having this little one was not even a job for me, it's like my entire life resting in this tiny human being. I love being a mother, being able to take care of a little one was a task, I never imagined I will be able to do but by the grace of God and the help of the people around me, 36 months went by swiftly.

In a day, my little one will turn three, it's 36 months since my motherhood journey had begun and I know this is a road to eternity so let me cherish these moments while I am still the most beautiful person on earth that my baby considers to be, while he would still ask me to carry him, while I am the shoulder he'd cry onto aside from his father, while my attention is what he seeks for the meantime and while I am the only person he would like to make laugh.

These moments are fleeting, I know. Soon, he will have friends whom he'd spend time with, he would have other people as company, and he might find another woman whom he would try to make smile. But that's life, let me cherish and enjoy this moment while it lasts.

I never had any plans for a complicated photoshoot, I just want some photos to post and that's it. I told my husband what would be the best option and he said, let's stick with Matti's love for musical instruments. Just like last year, we had the ukulele and the beatbox. This time, we got his drumkit out of the house and went to Casbu where there's a long road that was not busy at all so we can position the guitar there with the background - rice fields.

Thankfully, my young people's friends came to help us as well. I am so grateful for such a community. We had a quick shoot, and got some attention from the people passing by but we eventually called it a day after a few shots and after Matti was being a little naughty.

I still have to edit the video, I guess I will do that tonight instead. For now, these are some of the images taken. Happy birthday my love!
