Weekend at sea
Hello, everyone.
It's Friday, which means it's time to get ready for the weekend and think about how to spend it in an interesting and enjoyable way. Today the weather is clearly autumn. The wind is quite cold. I think it will be cool over the weekend too. Therefore, we need to dress warmer, and the time spent outside will not be as long.
I remember warm summer days with nostalgia. I especially enjoyed relaxing by the water. I adore the sea. It's an incredible sight when the stormy waves crash on the shore. I love the rustling of the water and the cry of seagulls. And also the smell - the salty aroma of the sea, which is impossible to get enough of.
I remember a weekend in early August that I spent with my family by the sea. We went to The Hague. There is a beautiful beach with many interesting attractions. The North Sea greeted us with a turbulent swell. Despite the summer heat, the water was quite cold. It is always like that here. But after spending a little time in the water, you get used to it and it's not so cold anymore.
We went up to the Ferris wheel. This attraction is quite impressive. The view from the top is incredible. Everyone should try to ride the wheel.
Afterwards, my family and I decided to visit one of the many cafes located on the beach. Of course, we chose seafood on the menu. The grilled fish and mussels in batter were extremely tasty. It is a real pleasure to have a delicious lunch and watch the sea.
Then we went to a specially equipped platform overlooking the coast. You could stand there for almost half a day, the view is so mesmerising.
In general, a holiday by the sea is always a good time. I like to walk barefoot on the cool sand when the waves lightly touch my feet. It's especially nice when the waves subside before sunset. The sea seems to be preparing to rest.
Those summer weekends were wonderful, because I spent them with my family on the shores of the beautiful North Sea.
As I was reading I thought of two things here that I need to do, look down from the heights and let the sea caress my feet as I walk barefoot on the sand... what great pleasures!
