Різдвяний Центр О/ Christmas Centre O (Ua/En)

Greetings to everyone in the community.
For most of us, the festive days before Christmas are filled with hustle and bustle, joyful chores and frequent trips to the shops. In Europe, since mid-November, streets, houses, yards, and offices have been decorated with traditional shiny, flashing decorations. It was a bit strange for me. Now I understand this tradition. Why deny yourself the pleasure of fully enjoying the spirit of Christmas? My euphoria from all the beauty around me hasn't faded at all. I enjoy the decorated streets every day, especially in the evening.
Last Saturday I visited a huge shopping centre in Oberhausen, Germany. It is called "Centre O". I chose the centre based on recommendations on the Internet. Good reviews and even better photos beckoned me to visit it myself as soon as possible.
First impression: "WOW! I won't even have a day to go around the entire shopping centre." And so it was - I hadn't even seen half of what this place has to offer. And then there are the people... A crowd of millions (yes, I'm not exaggerating) of visitors. This created problems, because there were huge queues everywhere: for packaging, to the toilet, to the cash desks of shops, for coffee... But today we are not talking about inconveniences, but about the decorations of the halls and lobbies.

Святкові дні перед Різдвом сповнені для більшості з нас метушнею, радісними клопотами та частими прогулянками до магазинів. В Європі ще з середини листопада вулиці, будинки, подвір'я, офіси прикрашені традиційними блискучими, миготливими декораціями. Для мене це було трішки дивно. Тепер розумію цю традицію. Навіщо відмовляти собі у задоволенні сповна насолодитися духом Різдва? Моя ейфорія від всієї навколишньої краси зовсім не згасла. Я щодня насолоджуюся прикрашеними вулицями, особливо у вечірній час.
Минулої суботи я відвідала величезний торговий центр в місті Обергаузен (Німеччина). Називається він "Центр О". Обрала центр за рекомендаціями в інтернеті. Гарні відгуки та ще кращі фото, манили мене чимшвидше самій відвідати його.
Перше враження: "ОГО! Мені й дня не вистачить, щоб обійти увесь торговий центр". Так і трапилося - я й половини не бачила всього, що пропонує це місце. А ще люди... Натовп з мільйонів (так, так, я не перебільшую) відвідувачів. Це створювало проблеми, адже кругом величезні черги: на паковці, в туалет, до кас магазинів, за кавою... Але сьогодні не про незручності, а про декорації залів і холів.

From the first step, I realised that I had never seen such beauty before. The wide corridors seem even bigger due to the glass and mirror shop windows on both sides. Each store is lit in its own way and the light falls on the corridor, giving it a fabulous, festive look.
There are entire Christmas and New Year's themed compositions along the aisle. The main figure is traditionally a Christmas tree and artificial snow. It is scattered in fluffy piles on the branches and around the tree. I liked one of these winter corners the most. It is enclosed by a wooden fence, which gives it a rustic warmth and reminds me of childhood and children's fairy tales. There are white birds under the Christmas tree. I'm not sure, but I thought they were owls. I love them, they make me think of Harry Potter, magic, and miracles.
Christmas trees shimmer brightly everywhere in the shopping centre. They are of different sizes and decorated in different ways: with light bulbs and coloured glass balls. Traditional red, green, and golden Christmas colours are everywhere you look. But I liked the ceiling the most. My neck hurt from looking up all the time. In different places on the ceiling, there are huge bright balls illuminated with colourful lights. At one of the highest points of the shopping centre, a giant Christmas wreath is suspended. But the biggest impression was made by the Christmas trees that seemed to be hanging in the air. There is a whole row of them. Each of them is decorated differently. When I walked under them, I had the impression that I was in a looking glass. The upper tiers, where the shops are also located, are wrapped in green garlands with bells. I'm afraid to even imagine how many people worked to create all these decorations. It seems that it was done by magic gnomes who painted a huge room with a single wave of their hand, decorated it with jewels and lights.

З першого кроку, я зрозуміла, що такої краси ще не бачила. Широкі коридори здаються ше більшими за рахунок скляних та дзеркальних вітрин магазинів, що розташовані по обидва боки. Кожен магазин по своєму освітлений і світло падає на прохід коридору, надаючи йому казкового, святкового вигляду.
Серед проходу оформлені цілі композиції різдвяної та новорічної тематики. Основною фігурою традиційно є ялинка та штучний сніг. Він пуховими купками розкидаий по гілках та навколо дерева. Один з таких зимових куточків мені сподобався найбільше. Він огороджений дерев'яним тином, що надає йому вигляду сільської теплоти та нагадує про дитинство та дитячі казки. Під ялинкою там рощміщені білі птахи. Я не впевнена, але мені здалося, що то сови. Люблю їх, вони в мене викликають асоціацію з Гаррі Поттером, магією, чудом.
Скрізь по торговому центру яскраво мерехтять ялинки. Вони різного розміру, по різному декоровані: лампочками, кольоровими скляними кулями. Традиційні червоні, зелені, золотисті різдвяні кольри повсюди, куди не кинь погляд. Та найбільше мені сподобалась стеля. В мене аж шия заболіла від постійного споглядання вгору. В різних місцях стелі прикріплені величезні яскраві кулі, що підсвічуються різнокольровими вогниками. В одній з найвищих точок торгового центру підвішено гігантський різдвяний вінок. Та найбільше враження справили ялинки, які наче повисли в повітрі. Їх цілий ряд. Кожна з них по різному декорована. Коли я йшла під ними, виникало враження, що я перебуваю в задзеркаллі. Верхні яруси, де теж розміщені магазини, окутані зеленими гірляндами з дзвіночками. Боюся навіть уявити скільки людей працювало, щоб створити всі ці декорації. Складається враження, що це зробили чарівні гноми, які одним порухом руки розфарбували величезне приміщення, задекорували коштовностями та вогниками.

People come to the mall not only to do some shopping. Mostly, people walk there with their families, take pictures, and enjoy the incredible Christmas atmosphere.

В торговий центр люди приходять не лише, щоб зробити якісь покупки. В основному там гуляють цілими сім'ями, фотографуються, насолоджуються неймовірною різдвяною атмосферою.
