My first night in a tent
Hello, everyone.
This is my first post in the community. I hope to find new friends here and get a lot of interesting information about how other people plan and spend their weekends. It's a new experience and information that broadens your horizons and gives you the opportunity to try something new for yourself.
Speaking of new things. This weekend I really arranged an unusual holiday for myself. You know, I have never spent the night in a palace. It may sound strange to some people, but I always thought that such a holiday was not for me.
Last week, my friends suggested that my husband and I go to the canal and stay overnight. My husband was enthusiastic about the offer, because it was an opportunity to go fishing. As for me, I didn't feel euphoric, but I agreed. For the sake of spending time together, you can sacrifice one night that you have to spend on the street. I was thinking like that all week. And yesterday, after work, we packed everything we needed and set off. It was very difficult to find a free place. I didn't think that so many people would be camping by the canal.
The first thing the men did was dismantle the tents and light a fire. While my friend and I were preparing everything for the barbecue, they threw in their fishing rods. Cooking over a fire is a man's job. So my friend and I relaxed in the pleasant evening coolness while the men fished and cooked.
Then we had a nice dinner at dusk with delicious food and good company. When it was time to go to bed, I was mentally prepared for the inconvenience. But the day's fatigue and the late hour made themselves felt. In short, I slept like a baby.
We woke up early today. Despite the coolness of the morning and the desire to lie in the sleeping bag, we decided to get up. What a beautiful view awaited us! The sun was slowly rising above the horizon, colouring the day and dispersing the fog over the water. It's an unrivalled feeling to start a new day with the sunrise, to watch everything come alive and wake up.
The holiday was a success. Everything was great, except that the fish didn't bite at all. But it doesn't matter, because the day goes on, we are still here and roasting vegetables on the fire. We still have half a day ahead of us by the water in good company.
Thank you all for reading my post. See you soon and have a great weekend.
