LÍNEA ALBA (ESP/ENG)

La línea alba es una línea vertical qué aparece en las embarazadas en el abdomen, va del pubis al ombligo o incluso sobrepasando el ombligo. Está suele aparecer en el segundo trimestre del embarazo, alrededor del quinto mes y nos acompañará cada día más marcada según avance el embarazo, de hecho puede seguir ahí un poco más después del parto.

It usually appears in the second trimester of pregnancy, around the fifth month and will accompany us more markedly as the pregnancy progresses, in fact it can continue there a little longer after delivery.

No se sabe con certeza por qué aparece esta línea, sin embargo se sabe que ya existía ahí desde siempre, sólo que era de un color tan tenue que pasaba desapercibida; se especula que en el embarazo se torna más oscura debido al aumento hormonal que causa la placenta y que provoca un aumento en la melanina, misma razón por la que se oscurecen las areolas y también otras zonas del cuerpo tales como el cuello, las cuales vuelven a su tonalidad normal después de nacido el bebé.

It is not known with certainty why this line appears, however it is known that it has always existed there, only that it was of such a faint color that it went unnoticed; it is speculated that during pregnancy it becomes darker due to the hormonal increase caused by the placenta and that causes an increase in melanin, the same reason why the areolas darken and also other areas of the body such as the neck, which return to its normal hue after the baby is born.

Personalmente les puedo contar que en mi primer embarazo me apareció esta línea y ahora en el segundo embarazo apenas ayer descubrí que me está apareciendo, lo cual me dió mucha emoción ya que significa que es un embarazo avanzado, que todo marcha normalmente como debe ser paso a paso, es un paso más en mi embarazo y me llena de ilusión ver que los cambios se dan y muy pronto mi bebé estará con nosotros 🥰
