Pedagogical Care - No Child is A Tabula rasa!
We often make mistakes as parents and teachers. I remember, even though I was young by then. The deformed child were sometimes outcast from the groups. Just because they were different in physiological formation. That was very painful 😖. Something which the child knows not. Maybe just certain chromosomal mutation or abnormalities which caused that. Parents based on this to neglect their child.
Know one knows the future of those children who were outcast. Their dreams were killed. Instead of guiding them and finding the best way they brought up in the societies, we then shorn them. The situation still persist but in a different way in our societies.
It's clear that many teachers underrate most learners who by thinking that they're "Tabula rasa!"
The preconception that certain children have no idea in the head. This is too hash to think certain children do not have anything in their mind. At least we should know little concept about a child when we pass through pedagogical studies.
Certain children are slow learners, while others are fast learners. It takes time for such child who is slow learner to catch up with the fast learns. As a pedagogical teacher, you need to device some means to support the less ability ones in class so that they aren't left behind.
In western countries, the classes are demarcated in smaller numbers so that each child is attended to. In some class, the number of students are only 10. A large class shouldn't be more than 30 in class. This enable the teacher to manage to class especially class control.
Children with disabilities are now added to the main stream schools so that they aren't stigmatized when they are segregated.
Some time ago, there were concern from people that the less ability ones or retarded ones should be segregated from the main stream class. Since adding them to most talented class would delay their studies or drag the level that they are supposed. In another school of thought, concerned was also raised to mix them so that they can emulate some good learning skills from the talented students. Especially during group work and contribution.
If the situation is just a normal mental retarded, it's easy to handle. Just that sometimes as teachers we don't get ample time interacting with such children. There are so many ways that we can support the child with that situation to be corrected. Remediation of the curriculum to increase the instructional or contact hours. This is special classes offered for children with lees ability learning issues. We can also discover his or her interest in other co-curricular activities like soccer and other games.
In the school certain, it's not only going to school to learn, read books or being in the library for research purposes. We have other fields that we can support the child with, rather than imposing on the child to forceful learn in class. What matters most is to get the basic concept for communication & collaboration to build human relations. If the child's interested is in football, basketball, Hockey, netball or volleyball, it's better we guide the child to build on his or her talents.
For severe, mild or profound metal retardation, they have special schools for the affected children. They can learn well having well trained teachers. We entreat all parents and teachers to treat all children equally as important. Not to neglect a child and say he is Tabula rasa or have nothing in his head. A child you see today that you've neglected may grow up and become one of the great person in the world.

Exactly disability is not the mistake that children had done. They faced a lot of criticism everywhere. I love the education system of Europe where disabled students entertain the same study in same class room where talented students do. It was a beautiful post explaining the rights of disabled students perfectly.
Sure! But some people think that this is just spiritual. Which is absolutely wrong.
