On Marketing

The supermarket gave out handouts for loyalty card holders the other day and I was not able to open it until this morning. The packaging had a nice black and white design that we usually see in promotional items. I thought that it was shampoo so I wasn't interested and left it in my bag.

I saw it again and decided to look at the contents and discovered that my assumption was wrong; it wasn't shampoo sachets, but coffee sachets - thank God! lol

#Coffee

As fate would have it, we ran out of ground coffee so this is the perfect time to check out this new product. According to the packaging, it was a black roast and best enjoyed black, which is just the way I like it.

How was it?

It had a shiny black color and looks like some oils are in there too. The taste was good. It had a nice acidity to it and a little of the earthy tones that I like. It's good coffee. I like more of the nutty and sweet taste experience so I don't think that this is great coffee - it's a personal preference - but for an instant coffee, this is really decent and better than the ones served in some of the big fast food chains.

Sandwich and Skyflakes

And because it was breakfast time, I naturally had to try it with my favorite peanut butter sandwich, which was a good match, and with the popular Filipino snack: Skyflakes.

It was a simple breakfast with free coffee. I hope they are still giving away samples because they are free. Much like airdrops and $HIVE rewards when we upload post, free samples are a ray of sunshine in a cloudy day. :)

That's it for now. Social media is still filled with sad news about Typhoon Odette (Rai). Some towns and villages have only started receiving aid and relief today. Hopefully, the government and non profits can work faster to reach remote areas where people need the most help.
