Although the old popular song insists on the abundance of bread, oil and wine that characterizes this peculiar and mysterious Spanish geographical area known as La Mancha, another of its invaluable riches lies in the beauty and above all, in the undeniable historical force of many of its well-named White Villages.

One of the most interesting and complementary, in addition, to this other great cultural and heritage wealth, which is Art, we have it in this beautiful corner of Toledo, called Orgaz, whose emblematic castle, one of the best preserved in Spain, changed what were once fierce assaults by invading armies, for a modern, although no less fierce army of motorized vehicles, which today take advantage of the shade of its solid walls as an improvised parking lot.

The most anecdotal thing, on the other hand, is that this is where the curious character came from who gave rise to one of the most famous and impressive paintings by that metaphorical painter of subconscious storms, whose original is exhibited as a true treasure, in the house that he had in Toledo capital and which today has become one of the most frequented museums by visitors: El Greco.

Towns that, in many cases, still preserve their ancestral roots and original architecture.
