A symbology, in fact, that we often ignore, not so much out of ignorance, but also because it awakens the self-love of all those whom the lottery of destiny has not wanted to grace with the fat prize of blue blood, who In short, we are the vast majority, although that does not mean that our surnames do not also have their own history and interest.

But, leaving for later a promising incursion into that dark but fantastic territory, which, as I have already said, is always hidden behind that cabalistic symbolism that goes hand in hand with the noble shields, the truth is that the illusion turns into sadness, when you hear from the lips of a neighbor who knows what he is talking about, that many of them, unfortunately, are not in their original place, a detail that, of course, detracts from the history of the place itself and inflames, for on the contrary, the sludge of a History, not always willing to reveal its secrets. Which, in addition and after all, confirms that remarkable truth, that, in this life of dream and frenzy, as Calderón would say, sometimes appearances are deceiving.

No le pregunté su nombre y eso que estuvimos hablando cerca de una hora, tiempo más que suficiente como para referirme algunos secretos del lugar y aprovechar mi empática educación para solazarse con algunos felices recuerdos de su infancia. Una simbología, de hecho, que muchas veces obviamos, no tanto por ignorancia, que también, sino porque despierta el amor propio de todos aquellos a los que la lotería del destino no ha querido agraciar con el permio gordo de la sangre azul, los cuales, en definitiva, somos la gran mayoría, aunque eso no significa que nuestros apellidos no tengan también su propia historia e interés.

Pero, dejando para más adelante una prometedora incursión en ese oscuro aunque fantástico territorio, que, como ya he dicho, se oculta siempre detrás de ese cabalístico simbolismo que va parejo a los escudos nobiliarios, lo cierto es que la ilusión se torna en tristeza, cuando escuchas de los labios de un vecino que sabe de lo que está hablando, que muchos de ellos, por desgracia, no se encuentran en su lugar original, detalle que, desde luego, resta mérito a la propia historia del lugar y enardece, por el contrario, los lodos de una Historia, no siempre dispuesta a revelar sus secretos. Lo que, además y después de todo, confirma esa notable verdad, de que, en esta vida de sueño y de frenesí, como diría Calderón, en ocasiones, las apariencias engañan.
