[ENG-SPN] A walk through the Saint Michael Market / Un paseo por el Mercado de San Miguel
Until a few years ago, it was one of the main traditional supply markets in Madrid, where butchers, fishmongers and fruit and vegetable shops regularly supplied this unique centre of the Spanish capital, which revolves around such relevant and legendary places as the Saint Michel Hill and its inns and the eminent shops and restaurants in the Main Square.
Today, although it has retained its ancestral appearance on the outside, it has become one of the great leisure centres of our city, where the queen of materials, that is, Gastronomy, reigns with all the force and fantasy of a rich variety of pleasant customs, where the national and the international cling tightly to the solidarity tasting that multiculturalism always offers.
A place where, along with the possibility of tasting different culinary highlights that enrich the palate, one also has the opportunity to let oneself be carried away by the charm of different drinks, in an extraordinary pairing for the senses, which, after all, also has the added charm of Culture.

I love the Mercado de San Miguel, visited it when I was last in the city, 1 year ago, but it was in the middle of the tourist season and was rammed full, nowhere to sit, nice to be able to see it in a less busy time. cheers @juancar347
It is usually quite busy, except on weekdays in the morning, before one or two in the afternoon, which is practically when it starts to fill up, as not only tourists, but also people who work in the surrounding area usually come here to have something to eat. I am glad to have presented it to you in a different way and if you ever come back here, who knows, maybe we can toast with a good wine. Kind regards
That explains it to me.....it was lunchtime Doh!
I look forward to some wine if I ever return cheers
