Animated series are my weakness, I have always commented on it, Supercrooks was seen with an interesting animation and I was interested in watching it, it is an anime set in the United States, from an American comic, some of the animation reminded me of American animation although the Voices were Japanese, their intro made me fall in love with so many colors and the style of movements, from that beginning I wanted to finish it completely.
As the chapters went by, I felt that I had already seen something about Supercrooks somewhere, the names or costumes of superheroes sounded familiar to me, but I couldn't remember from which place I had seen them, then when reading a little about the series, it's a spin off of the live action series The Legacy of Jupiter from Netflix. They are from the same universe but totally separate stories, when reading that I could not bear to see the series, soon my review about it.
Supercrooks is an animated series with a lot of color and music; Although the music goes unnoticed, I really liked the protagonists and their powers, the plans of how they did it reminded me a lot of the anime "The Great Pretender" I got to read some reviews that said they could compare it to The Boys or Invincible, but I think they are wrong in many ways. This series is not a reminder of the evil of society, or of a legacy left by parents, it is not a view into the other world of supers, it is the story of some villains that nobody knows and that everything goes wrong.
Unlike The Boys or Invincible, there is no ubiquitous villain here who can kill them all; well, I lie about that, there is, but it does not feel at all, its problems are not being discovered, and although they may fail it is not their end as it can happen with Homelander in The Boys, the attraction here is a simple robbery with thieves with super powers that at first it is not understood how they can serve together.
Although this series of thirteen chapters ended with a closed chapter, without possible alternate endings or something like that, I wish a second season, I want to see more of this world of super powers, they canceled The Legacy of Jupiter to make this one and it seems right to me, Although I have not seen the series completely, it is better to do something animated when doing things with many special effects and characters, the chance of failure is less than with a live action with super powers. I totally recommend it.

Oh, it's a series from this year. It is based on a graphic novel. If it has a closed ending and only one season, I may watch it. Noting the name to look for it.
I loved it, I hope you do too!
