Peacemaker/El pacificador (Reseña/Review)

Christopher Smith es un justiciero que busca la paz, pagando cualquier precio que sea necesario para conseguirla, así sea matar a niños, mujeres o una ciudad entera. Luego de haberse salvado de un disparo de Bloodsport en su misión suicida, busca regresar a su vida normal, pero ese descanso dura poco porque debe salvar al mundo de nuevo de unos alienigenas en forma de mariposas.

Christopher Smith is a vigilante who seeks peace, paying whatever price is necessary to achieve it, whether it be killing children, women or an entire city. Having been saved from being shot by Bloodsport on his suicide mission, he seeks to return to his normal life, but that break is short-lived as he must once again save the world from butterfly-shaped aliens.

Peacemaker fue uno de los personajes que más me gustaron en la película de Suicide Squad, su estupidez, su seriedad, como lo llego a interpretar John Cena, al ver que harían una serie de él después de mostrarnos que sobrevivió a la bala de Bloodsport quise verla apenas saliera. Esta semana dio final a la primera temporada y ya están en camino de hacer la segunda, mostrándonos ahora un posible nuevo universo de DC Comics.

Las series de DC Comics llevan su tiempo, recuerdo que la primera que vi fue Arrow, tienen su propio universo en la pantalla chica pero pasan desapercibidos enfrente de Marvel y su universo en la pantalla grande, ahora con esta serie que esta vinculada directamente con una película de DC, nos da una impresión de que pueden salir más series a partir de sus películas.

La serie sigue la vida personal del personaje, mostrándonos su lado humano a pesar de su lema de matar a cualquiera en nombre de la paz, lo que no me gusto del todo es que le quitaran ese sentimiento que tenia el personaje de ser frío con sus decisiones por su propio lema de matar a quien sea, haciéndolo que se cuestione lo que estaba haciendo, aunque nos muestra otro lado del personaje le quita el encanto que nos mostraron en la película.

No es solo acción y muertes, tiene un poco de comedio de por medio, no es una serie con momentos tan serios, la mayoría de esos momentos se ven opacados por estupideces que dice o hace Peacemaker con Vigilante, ese es uno de los puntos a destacar de DC que sus personajes siempre hacen uno que otro chiste en momentos serios, podemos ver eso en series animadas, en los comics y algunas escenas de las películas.

La aparición de Jason Momoa y Ezra Miller en el capitulo final no es solo por un fanservice, es para reafirmarnos que en verdad todo esta conectado, llamándolos como La Liga de la Justicia, apareciendo Flash, Aquaman, Superman y Wonderwoman; aunque estos dos últimos no se mostraron como tal, solo su silueta. Este puede ser el inicio de una gran levantada en el mundo cinematográfico de DC Comics, lo que harán en los siguientes meses y años, lo decidirá, pero en su primera serie spin off se lucieron y lo hicieron bien, al menos en mi opinión, la recomiendo.

Peacemaker was one of the characters that I liked the most in the Suicide Squad movie, his stupidity, his seriousness, how John Cena came to interpret him, seeing that they would make a series of him after showing us that he survived the Bloodsport bullet I wanted see it as soon as it came out. This week ended the first season and they are already on their way to making the second, now showing us a possible new DC Comics universe.

DC Comics series take their time, I remember that the first one I saw was Arrow, they have their own universe on the small screen but they go unnoticed in front of Marvel and its universe on the big screen, now with this series that is directly linked to a DC movie, gives us an impression that more series can come from his movies.

The series follows the personal life of the character, showing us his human side despite his motto of killing anyone in the name of peace, what I did not like at all is that they took away that feeling that the character had of being cold with his decisions by his own motto to kill whoever, making him question what he was doing, although it shows us another side of the character it takes away from the charm that they showed us in the movie.

It's not just action and deaths, it has a bit of comedy involved, it's not a series with such serious moments, most of those moments are overshadowed by stupid things that Peacemaker says or does with Vigilante, that's one of the points to highlight from DC that their characters always make one or another joke in serious moments, we can see that in animated series, in comics and some scenes from the movies.

The appearance of Jason Momoa and Ezra Miller in the final chapter is not just for fanservice, it is to reaffirm that everything is really connected, calling them as The Justice League, Flash, Aquaman, Superman and Wonderwoman appearing; although these last two were not shown as such, only their silhouette. This may be the beginning of a great upheaval in the DC Comics film world, what they will do in the coming months and years will decide, but in their first spin off series they shined and did well, at least in my opinion, I recommend it.
