Imperdonable/Unforgivable (Reseña/Review)

Ruth Slater ha pasado dos décadas en prisión por un crimen, ahora le toca salir al mundo de nuevo, con una mancha en su nombre que no podrá borrar, lo único que la mantiene a flote, es la creencia que puede enmendar los errores de su pasado.

En algunos casos, el titulo de la película poco tiene que ver con su contenido, otros casos es solo una palabra clave de toda la historia, y luego esta Unforgivable, una película que su nombre tiene que ver con toda la trama, dándole sentido a su historia y su propio nombre. Esta película de Netflix protagonizada por Sandra Bullock la podría definir como un sentimiento embotellado mostrado en una vitrina, todos pueden ver lo que hay dentro.

No tenia tantas expectativas al ver esta película para ser honesto, solo quería ver algo para pasar el rato, al cabo de pasar unos minutos de la película pude entender su nombre, cada uno de los personajes, con sus historias, no han perdonado a alguien, cada uno con sus motivos, mostrando un odio insaciable en cada escena, arrepentimiento, desesperación en otros lados, ninguno de ellos puede perdonar.

No puedo decir que la película es una obra maestra, la dirección de cámara no es la mejor, tiene algunos paisajes increíbles pero nada del otro mundo, no tiene banda sonora que se haga notar, los vestuarios son corrientes y las actuaciones, aunque no son para nada malas, no son tan resaltables. La historia como tal, es lo que me hizo enamorar, una historia con ese nombre, algo que te dice desde el inicio que es, pero si no prestas atención, no lo entenderás.

La historia toma un giro inesperado, es increíble que lo haga porque de no ser así pasaría al olvido más rápido de lo que posiblemente lo haga actualmente. Lo único que no estoy de acuerdo con la historia es las incontables veces que se repite los flashbacks del pasado, llevo un tiempo considerando que si se utiliza demasiado se puede volver cansado, pero al mismo tiempo si se utiliza una cantidad correcta, se puede dar suspenso.

La película llega a tratar de segundas oportunidades, de sacrificios, de errores humanos, solo si se profundiza demasiado en el tema, es una historia bonita de dos hermanas separadas por el infortunio de la vida. Tiene una duración de una hora con cincuenta y dos minutos, esta disponible en la plataforma de Netflix ¿Le darías un chance?

In some cases, the title of the film has little to do with its content, other cases it is just a keyword of the entire story, and then there is Unforgivable, a film whose name has to do with the entire plot, giving meaning to its history and its own name. This Netflix movie starring Sandra Bullock could be defined as a bottled feeling displayed in a glass case, everyone can see what is inside.

I didn't have so many expectations when I saw this movie to be honest, I just wanted to see something to pass the time, after a few minutes of the movie I could understand its name, each one of the characters, with their stories, they haven't forgiven someone, each with their reasons, showing insatiable hatred in every scene, regret, despair elsewhere, none of them can forgive.

I can't say that the film is a masterpiece, the camera direction isn't the best, it has some incredible landscapes but nothing special, it doesn't have a noteworthy soundtrack, the costumes are ordinary and the performances, although they aren't not bad at all, they are not so remarkable. The story as such is what made me fall in love, a story with that name, something that tells you from the beginning what it is, but if you don't pay attention, you won't understand.

The story takes an unexpected turn, it's incredible that it does because otherwise it would be forgotten faster than it possibly is today. The only thing I don't agree with the story is the countless times it repeats the flashbacks of the past, I've been thinking for a while that if you use too much it can make you tired, but at the same time if you use the right amount it can give you suspense.

The film comes to deal with second chances, sacrifices, human errors, only if it goes too deep into the subject, it is a beautiful story of two sisters separated by the misfortune of life. It lasts one hour and fifty-two minutes, it is available on the Netflix platform. Would you give it a chance?
