Back to the Movies with Friends | The Matrix Resurrections & Spider-Man: No Way Home [EN][ES]

It has been 2 years and 1 day since I went to the cinema. The last movie I saw in the cinema was Star Wars episode 9 and after that, we went into a pandemic, the cinemas closed and it seemed that everything had come to a standstill. Little by little, everything was reactivated again, but honestly I didn't have the time to go to the movies, I was also afraid of contracting Covid or even worse, taking the virus home and infecting my family.

Han pasado 2 años y 1 día desde que fui al cine. La ultima película que vi en el cine fue Star Wars el episodio 9 y luego de eso, entramos en pandemia, los cines cerraron y pareciera que todo se había paralizado. Poco a poco, todo se fue reactivando nuevamente, pero honestamente no tenia el tiempo de ir al cine, también me daba miedo contagiarme de Covid o peor aun, llevar al virus a casa y contagiar a mi familia.

I'm not going to lie to you, I also live a little far from the cinema and it represents an expense to be able to go, but this is mainly due to problems in the country that I will not mention in this publication. I am very happy, because once again I was able to go to the movies, eat a giant box of popcorn, meet with friends who love movies even more than I do and enjoy two movies that I loved. But don't worry, I won't make any spoilers in this post.

No te voy a mentir, también vivo algo retirado del cine y representa un gasto el poder ir, pero esto principalmente por problemas del pais que no mencionare en esta publicación. Estoy muy feliz, porque nuevamente pude ir al cine, comerme una caja gigante de cotufas, reunirme con amigos que aman aun mas que yo el cine y disfrutar de dos películas que me encantaron. Pero no te preocupes, no hare ningún tipo de spoiler en esta publicación.

The first movie we saw was The Matrix Resurrections, a movie that I enjoyed, leaving aside any criticism in terms of acting, effects and how the story was handled. Matrix for me is very special, I grew up watching the trilogy and let's say that there is a certain nostalgia that connects me with these movies and knowing about this new installment, I had a lot of hype to know what was going to happen, seeing Trinity in the trailer, blew my head off and the anxiety killed me for having to wait to see it.

I enjoyed Matrix Resurrections, I consider it more as a movie for those fans that needed to see something from the Matrix, remember old times and let yourself go with the emotion. I won't lie to you, the movie lacks some elements that I would have loved to see, but I won't give you any spoilers so you can have your own experience. If you ask me, I don't regret going to see it in the theater, even though it's available on HBO MAX.

La primera película que vimos fue The Matrix Resurrections, una película que disfruté, dejando de lado cualquier critica en cuanto a actuación, efectos y como se llevo la historia. Matrix para mi es muy especial, yo crecí viendo la trilogía y digamos que hay cierta nostalgia que me conecta con estas peliculas y al saber de esta nueva entrega, tenia mucho hype por saber que iba a suceder, ver a Trinity en el tráiler, voló mi cabeza por los aires y la ansiedad me mataba por tener que esperar para verla.

Yo disfrute Matrix Resurrections, la considero más como una película para esos fans que les hacia falta ver algo de Matrix, recordar viejos tiempos y dejarte llevar por la emoción. No te mentiré, la película carece de algunos elementos que me fuese encantado ver, pero no te voy hacer algún spoiler para que tu mismo puedas tener tu experiencia. Si me preguntas a mi, no me arrepiento de ir a verla en el cine, a pesar de que esta disponible por HBO MAX.

After this movie and only 10 minutes apart, we went to see Spider-Man: No Way Home. Here I'll be honest, I'm not much of a spiderman fan but I am a Dr Strange fan and I went to see it because I wanted to know what this character would do in the movie. But wow, the movie took such a good turn, I ended up loving it completely. I was surprised by a lot of things that happened, things I didn't expect, I laughed like never before and maybe some tears.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is a movie that has it all: action, drama, comedy, good acting, good effects and that magical something that engages you from the beginning or at least that's what it was for me. I also noticed improvements in the performances of the cast, especially when compared to previous movies.

Luego de esta película y con tan solo 10 minutos de diferencia, entramos a ver Spider-Man: No Way Home. Aquí seré honesto, no soy muy fan de spiderman pero si lo soy de Dr Strange y fui a verla por conocer que actuación tendría este personaje en la película. Pero wow, la película dio un giro tan bueno, que la termine amando por completo. Me sorprendieron muchas cosas que pasaron, cosas que no me esperaba, me reí como nunca y quizás algunas lagrimas.

Spider-Man: No Way Home es una película que lo tiene todo: acción, drama, comedia, buenas actuaciones, buenos efectos y ese algo mágico que te engancha desde el inicio o por lo menos eso lo fue para mi. También note mejoras en las actuaciones de los personajes, sobre todo al compararlas con películas anteriores.

Pero lo que realmente me gusto mas Spider-Man: No Way Home y no te asustes, no es un spoiler, es poder ir a verla con @laloretoyya @iritere @jauregui98 y @gaeljosser. Una película puede ser buena, pero cuando la ves en el cine con amigos y la sala llena, las emociones se viven diferentes, escuchar los gritos de la gente, las risas de tus amigos, la persona que se levantan del asiento y gritan, todo eso le da un toque especial a la película.

But what I really liked the most Spider-Man: No Way Home and don't be scared, it's not a spoiler, is being able to go see it with @laloretoyya @iritere @jauregui98 and @gaeljosser. A movie can be good, but when you see it in the cinema with friends and a full audience, the emotions are different, listening to the screams of the people, the laughter of your friends, the person who get up from the seat and scream, all that gives a special touch to the movie.

I really didn't know when I missed going to the movies, I missed it so much. From the moment you arrive and smell the aroma of popcorn, you know something great is about to happen. I also missed the tequeños, it is something very Venezuelan and one of the best things to eat while watching a movie and to my surprise, they added tequeños with ham bread filling and they were really good.

De verdad no sabia cuando extrañaba ir al cine, me hacia muchísima falta. Desde el momento que llegas y sientes el aroma a palomitas de maíz, sabes que algo grandioso esta por suceder. También extrañaba los tequeños, es algo muy venezolano y de lo mejor para comer mientras ves una película y para mi sorpresa, agregaron tequeños con relleno de pan de jamón que estaban bastante buenos.

I'm not going to lie, at times it was a little scary to be in an enclosed space and with so many people, I think that will be the hardest to get back to normal since we have suffered from covid 19. But I am really happy to be able to share with my friends, to go to the movies and enjoy the passion we have for the world of movies. There are other movies that we have yet to see, especially from Marvel, which has been a meeting point for us, but that is a story that has already been told.

No te voy a mentir, por momentos me daba un poco de miedo el estar en un espacio encerrado y con tantas personas, creo que eso será los más difícil de volver a la normalidad desde que hemos sufrido por el covid 19. Pero de verdad estoy feliz de poder compartir con mis amigos, de ir al cine y disfrutar de esa pasión que tenemos por el mundo de las películas. Hay otras películas que todavía nos falta ver, sobre de todo de Marvel que ha sido un punto de encuentro para nosotros, pero ya eso es una historia que esta contada.

Unbelievable, 2 years and 1 day that I was going to the movies, 2 years that went by fast focused on so many things that were happening in the world, but I think I could not make a better comeback, watching two great movies and accompanied by friends who make them better. May it happen again soon!

Increíble, 2 años y 1 día que iba al cine, 2 años que pasaron rápido enfocado en tantas cosas que estaban sucediendo en el mundo, pero creo que mejor no pude hacer el regreso, viendo dos grandes películas y acompañado de amigos que las hacen mejor. ¡Que se repita pronto!
