missing having coffee with bestie☕

You told me not to "cross the sea" as the weather was so bad. There was a typhoon coming and riding a boat spells "bad idea". I then told you I have to go, because my mind was set, and I really needed a place to crash.

Of course you had no choice because I was as hard-headed as you. That is why we're friends, right? We are sort of "made of the same feathers". Well, feathers but minus the free gift of flying. We would have enjoyed if we could fly, you know.

As I headed my way to Bohol, your beloved hometown, the cold December air bit my face. I then thought, "maybe it is a bad idea?". This thought grew louder and louder as the ship I was riding was SHAKEN mightily by the strong winds.

It is not short of a miracle that I was safely delivered onto your hometown, whole. In one piece. Relief was a pretty accessory on my face, I should tell you.

You, bestie, took me to this beautiful over-the-mountains/cities coffee place as soon as I arrived. Our shared love for coffee will always be one key glue to our friendship.

Our chatty tales of woes and victories was, as expected, endless. It was story after story after story that I truly missed since we haven't seen each other since pre-pandemic days. "Life happened" that's why we never had the time to meet and catch up. ^sighs. Adulting is pretty hardcore crazy, right?
