HELLO HIVE

We are in the season of the year which fresh crops and fruits can hardly be seen around the river that flows around my place ensures that we get fresh vegetables and even crops like maize are available around the river path .fresh maize gets very expensive around this time because it is sold on the road sides either cooked maize or roasted maize.

The river facilitates irrigation farming around this period,the river flows throughout the year and farming along that path is done all through the year.I haven't had a bite of either cooked maize of roasted maize for a while now because of how much it cost to purchase it.

Years back this was one food that we easily but from road sides and it is quite common among travellers but now it is not as popular any more and hardly do one find farmers farming maize during this season this days.

Vegetables farmers are now dominating most parts of the land around the river bank vegetables can be easily sold by farmers and the lost around this is minimal compared to cultivating maize in that same area and vegetables are more expensive which makes many farmers to divert into farming it.
