I am using an effective weed management practice on my farm

HELLO HIVE

I cleared a some portions of lands so I could plant maize on it once the rain starts this year but due to one activity on other farms I wasn't able to plant anything when it was due so the land is now covered by weeds and I had to do something on time before it got worst so I started grain sorghum on it before planting the maize, I don't have the maize seeds that i want to plant on the farm right now so i will make use of what's available .

I am not going to cultivate the land anymore because I have already done that before but I can just plant and then apply herbicides on the farm to take care of the weed, so how do I achieve that ? To do this I have to keep an accurate information of the date that the grain sorghum was planted so that I can make the right calculations of when I am to plant the grained sorghum. This is important because what I am applying is actually a potent chemical that will affect every plant that it comes in contact with so i have to prevent any kind of contact between the seedlings and the herbicides.

An interesting thing to do is to plant the grain sorghum and the apply the herbicides the same day or the next then by the time the seedlings are growing out of the ground the weeds are dead already and there are no chemical exposure on the grain sorghum, these process is very effective because by the time the seedlings are growing the weeds are dead and before any new weed grows on the farm the grain sorghum would have grown past some weeks already.
