Finally started planting my yam months after cultivating the farm.

HELLO HIVE

It's been months since I cultivated my yam farms and planting took place two days ago with every other work on this farm suspended for now until the rain starts falling but there will be one more thing before and it is categorically less stressful I can do that at my leisure time but it still has to be done as early as possible. The farm was cultivated a few months back but I couldn't proceed because I didn't have the capital to get the plant tuber seed that would be enough for my farm and coupled with a spike in its overall price I had to take a break just recently I was able to put some funds together from Goodwills by people who knew how important it was to me.

The planting is done for some parts but not all of the farm because the tubers were not enough for the time being but I hope to put something together in no time, planting can still be delayed for now until probably the rain starts falling because the plant needs the water from the rain to begin any form of growth activity o, for now, the plant is just staying dormant.

You might wonder why the plant doesn't get rotten during this period well that's why we mulch it to prevent overheating which is responsible for major spoilage in tubers like yam.

The part that is planted is the tuber but not the whole tuber only some parts of it around the region that is connected to its step down into the ground there might be other ways but this is the one I am used to because that's the traditional way of doing it around here.

Thank you for visiting my blog 😊

This yam looks like cassava here in the Philippines. It was healthy and fresh plant.😊

You have much yam to eat. This will surely save you from this hardship. Soil helps to preserve yam from spoiling do to heat.
