Cassava and sorghum (guinea corn) , two crops that can cope through the weather.
Good day hive
While the weather is getting dry and hard every day and I have rounded up most of my farming activities there is still little left to be done for me on some of my farms, one of my farm has a combination of two crops that are known to be harvested late compared to any other crops in my region entirely, cassava and guinea corn (sorghum) do get harvested at a period when I am done with most of my harvesting I don't have to rush work on this two crops because these crops can cope with the change in climate.
While I have to harvest sorghum (guinea corn) this year , cassava can wait until next year for as long as there is no rainfall and there is no damages by pest cassava tubers can last longer than any tuber crop in the soil. farmers don't usually like harvesting cassava in this period because it is difficult to uproot the tubers from the ground when the ground is dry but we can wait till the first or second rain to harvest and by that time the ground is dry , we can't wait too long because the longer we wait the more it might get rotten in the ground.
