Human Reaction

Drenched Some Human Interaction Then Sublime Beautiful Sunday

Saturday night we had a deluge of rain, thick wall of cloud appeared over hills, accompanied by angry lightning, thunder checking outside a couple of times we were not floating down the hill.

Who mentioned climate change, not I! Nonetheless trees came down, roads under water in certain areas, paving pulled up after moles had run amok below, quick check finding out damages with family if assistance may be required, not so, some insurance claims would need to be made.

Time now for nature and human interaction on the beach, get away from the chaos, clear ones mind. Beach will be firm to walk after a good soaking.

IMG_6594.JPG

Promise of intermittent rains all Sunday, lingered over coffee before hitting outdoors as still cloud cover, reasonable at 24 Celsius, who is in a hurry anyway?

IMG_6589.JPG

Woody was into the car at speed, never knew he could still jump so high, but there you have it on the back seat lets be off.

IMG_6604.JPG

Under the bridge photo a blue blanket evident, with someone walking across the rail bridge to get to the next town.

Within minutes of arriving the sun came out, damn I left my sunhat at home never gave thought to sunscreen either, now I tell you it did get hot....

IMG_6617.JPG

Sun not performing full tilt where you dance off the beach trying to avoid touching the sand, this simply felt like it was biting into the skin!

What a pleasure alighting the vehicle where a family with five children rushed over mask free to come say hello to Woody, seventh heaven for him he dotes on being doted on!

After checking the beach this family left their possessions next to a log, went to enjoy swimming the river onto beach other side, to swim in the seas brown water?

Most coastal dwellers will not swim in muddied waters, perhaps they were inland visitors.

IMG_6612.JPG

Stashed beach requirements against log, then swim.

After heavy rain the sea was brown after rivers broke through, changed course once again, washing down... you have it plastic bottles, lids, blankets, tyres everything strewn about, humans live like this?

IMG_6624.JPG

I think shriveled up leaf felt my pain with the filth washed down once again, never enough bags to take much off, cleaning parties with local inhabitants will have to be arranged again.

IMG_6606.JPG

Feeling like a dinosaur repeating over and over again, humans have to change their ways to save the environment!

IMG_6622.JPG

Leave only footprints!

Happy Sunday we got out and enjoyed it!

Good for you. There was snow in the previous few days on some parts of my country (in Hungary). We are currently in spring, but the weather is winter-like.

Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

It has been a rainy weekend over here that continued into the new week, always amaze me how it is rainy now and the next minute it is hot. A quick way to catch flu if you are dressed light outdoor...

Under the bridge photo a blue blanket evident, with someone walking across the rail bridge to get to the next town.

Lovely shot, would be a nice walk I can imagine, the coastal dwellers are unaware of how the likes of me in the inland envy them.

Extreme rain in many parts some flooding again, being at high altitude it does get brisk when sudden rains come through, not in Durban you can dance in the rain 😅

We used to short cut along railways bridges when young, used to be good fun knowing it wasn't allowed....

What a lovely peaceful beach, spoilt by the ungrateful fools who allow their detritus to wash up.

Debris comes down from inland where rivers are used for everything but running clean clear water of late!

Lovely little get away to clear the mind.
Beautiful beach…

Here (Spain) too the weather is crazy lately and so different then a few years ago.

Good time out, don't think many arrived thinking the rain was going to continue.

I am wondering if you were there when it was very low tide.

Not quite low tide but was going out when we were down, rivers always runs muddy after rains, inland or coastal.

It is sad to see beaches littered with plastic bottles and such!
Habits are formed in the school of virtues... the home!

I don't remember seeing plastic before I was in my teens

Sure made for that in no time at all, plastic strewn everywhere.

Floods during the 1980s and earlier graves close to rivers washed out, wildlife came floating down with a couple of pairs of shoes and plenty trees, sugarcane building a beach wall around 6 to 8 feet high, never plastic!

Flash floods happen, heavy rains happen, dirt simply does not need to happen at the levels we now witness. School of virtues must be out of the window, flown the nest!

hello dear friend @joanstewart good afternoon

If the beach is ideal to clear the mind and forget everyday problems
What you say is very true, change has to come from people.
What beautiful images you have here; I appreciate you letting us know

It's unbelievable all the evil that climate change is causing
In this area of the world we spent three months of intense droughts, even with forest fires, now it has been raining every day for more than a month, we went from droughts to floods

happy start of the week

We had drought a couple of years ago, this year more rain than we normally see.

Heavy storms happening throughout our countries regions, hopefully some are saving clean water around rural homes into tanks.

Thanks for visiting and have yourself a wonderful day @jlufer

Climate change is real. It even snowed in Genting Highland although we are in the tropics. We need Mother Nature, Mother Nature does not need us. It is nice to have a quick getaway and relax at the beach.

Climate change may be a natural phenomenon or caused by humans, either way it is here, humans need to clean up their act, stop living in a world of throw away.

Snow in the tropics, definitely not something one would expect! We live sub-tropical and need to drive three hours inland to witness snow on mountains, sometimes one hour drive inland for snow on the ground.

A lovely beach you have to walk, Joan. I wish people would stop littering as this garbage is bad for the environment and can harm animals for they get tangled up in things and can’t get free.

24 C would be great right now to get rid of the snow dumped on the Island today. Hopefully last storm.

Surcharge should be placed on every piece of plastic purchased offering refund on bottles and caps like happened with glass when we were young, encouraging the plastic to go back into system rather than being thrown away. Tin cans same applies.

Last snow of summer, now time for fresh life to appear, exciting to see I am sure when the change takes place.

I agree with you... humans really have to change and take care of the environment if they want their offspring to enjoy what we are enjoying now.

Easy lifestyle is going to become very difficult if attitude does not change.

People want coffee on the run in disposable cups, why not stop and drink from a glass cup?

Cleanliness and hygiene, meat, fruit and vegetables wrapped in plastic with polystyrene holders, what for?

Paper packets sufficed when we were growing up, milk in glass bottles no extra long life, what chemicals go into all these things, we killing ourselves!

And not all people realize what those plastics and chemicals do to our bodies and to our environment. This fast pace life is really killing us, everything about it.

Tend to agree with you on that! Chemicals are in everything even honey comes with "sell by date", who are they kidding they muck everything up!

I wonder when all humans will realize this.

Gosh, and did it rain, but at least cooled things down a bit! I'm loving the changing season and looking forward to the KZN winters!
There's nothing like a walk on the beach to refresh one, not so, I always wonder why we don't make the time to do it more often!

That rain was relentless for four hours.

My sister-in-law has to get insurance quotes to fix her driveway, brick paving now has massive holes beneath, obviously moles started tunnels then rains found them to use as an escape route.

Ideal time on the beach is after rain, makes walking easier 😃, Oh I love winter here, time to live!

I hate it when I think it will be rainy for a walk and then the sun comes out and I don't have my hat @joanstewart. The sun UV index is so much stronger and higher than it used to be. And being fair skin I know I will burn.
We do as a human race need to take responsibility for climate change. Your Sunday looked like a relaxing one.

Sun had nasty bite to it which did not take long once clouds cleared away, normally always take my bush hat everywhere. My bad!

It disgusts me too Joan! I am with you and shrivelled up leaf.
