🎬 Movie Review : Love Your Enemy

Welcome to a kdrama Lover movie review.

I usually don't like watching ongoing kdrama, I prefer waiting a bit until they are all released or must have released at least 7 episodes before I start watching them.

Yes, I do this to keep healthy mental health.

Because I might lose my sanity having to wait for like a week or two before watching the next episode of a movie.

I almost lost my sanity with season 2 alchemy of souls when I was following it accordingly and waiting for 6 days before the next episode was released.

The last three episodes took them 2 weeks before they released it.
I know what I went through, so I started avoiding such situations until lately.

I came across the kdrama "Love your enemy" after watching interesting "Family by choice".

Love Your Enemy was an ongoing drama when I started watching it, but they have already released 6 episodes, so I took a safe step.

When I started watching the movie, I didn't really find it interesting.

But I continued because it's normal not to find the first episode of a Korean drama interesting.
You won't even understand what's going on until the middle of episode 2.

So, I wasn't really bothered as I continued watching the movie.

I found a few scenes interesting, and I got some laughs too, but I still wasn't enjoying the movie to the extent that I dumped the movie to go watch another one.

It's of recent that I decided to finish what I started by watching the few episodes left, good for them to make the movie to be only 12 episodes, unlike the normal 16-20 episodes.

The movie is about two families who became enemies because of a love fight between their fore fathers and a woman they fall in love with.

Of course, one won the lady's heart and married her.

The other was so angry and hated them, making his children to dislike them and causing them to pass it to the next generation.

They also found ways to make the other party jealous and feel less important, to the extent that two grandchildren had the same name Jiwon.

The two grandchildren are male and female, so we have male Jiwon and female Jiwon.

They grew up together and disliked each other for a while but fell in love and dated in high school because they were always together.

A snitch from female Jiwon side who they took as a son, made them go bankrupt and caused an accident that killed Jiwon's parents.

This caused a bad stir in the family, but they survived and continued to live their lives, the grandfather being a school chairman, while Jiwon became a teacher.

The sudden appearance of the male Jiwon changed everything and brought stability and happiness to both families.

The two Jiwon got married.
The snitch arrested for his crimes and went to prison.

Female Jiwon's grandfather made up with male Jiwon's father and his first love.

The other sub cast in the movie with their own stories also had a happy ending.

This movie isn't as interesting as I thought it could be.

The grown female Jiwon in the movie acting isn't smooth, I don't know, but I wasn't really feeling her attitude.

The storyline wasn't really that great to me either, maybe there isn't much comedy 🤔

Well, it's a movie I won't consider rewatching.
